Election elixir: Obama no longer gray
President Obama’s reelection didn’t just put a bounce in his step. It appears that it also erased his gray hair.
Appearing in the East Room Wednesday for his post-election press conference, the chatty Obama displayed a head of rich, black hair. Photos and even the White House live stream of the session showed no more gray.
But just a week ago, at the end of his campaign, the president had a head of salt and pepper hair with lots more gray.

No public schedule.
@Ratboy
That is weird, not the ical part but the lack of public notification.
The no public schedule part is usually because of meetings within the staff and WH to plan for cabinet changes and new policies and or possible meetings about the fiscal cliff being planned or time reserved for them.
Good Morning Ratsie,Steverino, and all the other nice folks–if those jobless figs are accurate without any big adjustments forthcoming they are rather staggering.Liberals will continue there celebrating post election and binge drinking–but they will have to sober up to reality soon.
I got to get school going

Morning all.
Could or should this be the real numbers reported.
UNADJUSTED DATA
The advance number of actual initial claims under state programs, unadjusted, totaled 466,348 in the week ending November 10, an increase of 104,548 from the previous week. There were 363,016 initial claims in the comparable week in 2011.
The advance unadjusted insured unemployment rate was 2.3 percent during the week ending November 3, an increase of 0.1 percentage point from the prior week’s revised rate. The advance unadjusted number for persons claiming UI benefits in state programs totaled 2,933,855, an increase of 159,551 from the preceding week. A year earlier, the rate was 2.5 percent and the volume was 3,177,477.
They dont even TRY to look unbias anymore!! What a joke!
Al Sharpton supports local Mayor recount but against Allen West recount though both in St. Lucie County
Hypocrite and Democrat hack Al Sharpton cites the fact that Murphy’s lead over West is “way outside the margin to justify a recount” and therefore he is against a recount in a race that is “unworthy of a recount”. But West is only .08 percentage points away from having a mandatory recount. That’s not even 1 percentage point and isn’t “way outside the margin”.
But in a local mayoral race where the votes are within .05 points thus forcing a mandatory recount, Sharpton makes clear he supports that recount. Oh I should note that after the early votes were recounted, the progressive candidate is down 61 votes and that’s when Sharpton decided to voice his support.
Note that both of the races are in St. Lucie County with the same canvassing board and the same Supervisor of Elections “Gertrude Walker”.
REV. AL SHARPTON SPEAKS OUT AGAINST A RECOUNT IN THE CONGRESSIONAL RACE BETWEEN ALLEN WEST AND PATRICK MURPHY BUT VOICES SUPPORT FOR A FULL RECOUNT IN THE LOCAL MAYORAL ELECTION
New York, NY (November 14, 2012)—Reverend Al Sharpton, President of National Action Network (NAN) and host of PoliticsNation on MSNBC, says he is supporting NAN’s St. Lucie, Florida, Chapter in calling for integrity in the local elections and a recount in the Mayor’s race, but opposes a recount in the Allen West/Patrick Murphy race.
According to Rev. Sharpton: “We want to see the integrity of the election process upheld on a local level but we unilaterally oppose a recount in the national race. Clearly, Representative-Elect Murphy’s lead over Congressman Allen West is way outside the margin to justify a recount. NAN supports the local chapter led by Rev. William Richardson, III and others in calling for a full recount in the local St. Lucie County Mayor’s race as we have spent months calling attention to irregularities and suppression in Florida. However, the local legitimacy of voter protection should not be overshadowed by a national race unworthy of a recount.”

Euro zone falls into second recession since 2009
BRUSSELS/BERLIN (Reuters) – The debt crisis dragged the euro zone into its second recession since 2009 in the third quarter despite modest growth in Germany and France, data showed on Thursday.
The two leading economies both managed 0.2 percent growth in the July-to-September period.
Judge Napolitano on FBI: ‘If they can do this to David Petraeus, they can do this to anybody’
Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano told The Daily Caller that, during its investigation of former CIA Director David Petraeus and his biographer, the FBI appears to have wrongfully treated a simple domestic dispute like a national security or criminal matter.
“David Petraeus didn’t betray his country,” Napolitano said in a phone interview. “He betrayed his wife. Big deal.”
Napolitano said the federal investigation was “the use of law enforcement either for a personal vendetta that [Tampa military liaison Jill] Kelley pushed through her FBI agent connection, or a political vendetta – somebody wanting to silence, by embarrassing, humiliating and destroying the credibility of Petraeus.”
“Not only does it not appear there was a crime committed,” Napolitano continued, “[and] not only does it not appear that there was a national security implication, but this is hardly the type of thing that the FBI investigates. This was instigated, apparently, by the Kelley woman, and her friend in the FBI. That is an inappropriate means to commence an investigation by the FBI.”
Napolitano, who is a former New Jersey Superior Court judge, said federal agents, like members of the judiciary, are typically prohibited from working on cases that present a conflict of interest. (RELATED: CIA denies claim it held hostages at Libya annex)
“In fact, the FBI has an internal rule that if an FBI agent knows the complainant, the victim or the target, that FBI agent cannot have anything to do with the case, because that often clouds an individual’s judgment,” Napolitano continued. “It’s like a judge trying a case in which he knows one of the parties. It’s prohibited, and the judge has to reveal that, and get off the case. The principle is the same for the FBI. For that reason, I don’t believe the government’s version of these events.”
According to numerous reports, the FBI began its investigation after Kelley told an agent, whom she knew as a friend, that she had received harassing emails from an anonymous source. The emails, which the agency eventually traced back to Petraeus biographer Paula Broadwell, appeared to be an attempt to intimidate Kelley into staying away from Petraeus.
“It’s inconceivable that the FBI decided to do an investigation based on one email between two private people, whether it mentions Petraeus’ name or not,” Napolitano added. “I don’t know what criminal charges could be filed. It’s not a crime for Mrs. Broadwell to send an email to Mrs. Kelley saying, ‘Stay away from my guy.’”

Florida restaurant owner adding surcharge on menu for Obamacare
John Metz, a restaurant owner and executive in West Palm Beach, Fla., says he plans to charge his customers a five-percent surcharge and decrease his employees’ hours to offset the costs of Obamacare on his businesses.
“If I leave the prices the same, but, say on the menu that there is a five-percent surcharge for Obamacare, customers have two choices. They can either pay it, and tip 15 or 20 percent, or if they really feel so inclined, they can reduce the amount of tip they give to the server, who is the primary beneficiary of Obamacare,” Metz told The Huffington Post.
“Although it may sound terrible that I’m doing this, it’s the only alternative. I’ve got to pass the cost on to the consumer,” he added.
Metz said he will use the new strategy in all of his restaurants, beginning in 2014, when Obamacare’s regulations are expected to be fully implemented. He owns the Hurricane Grill & Wings franchise and is the president and owner of RREMC Restaurants, which oversees approximately 40 Denny’s restaurants and several Dairy Queen stops.
“I think it’s a terrible thing. It’s ridiculous that the maximum hours we can give people is 28 hours a week instead of 40,” Metz added.

Luke Russert offends Nancy Pelosi
Nancy Pelosi was peppered with questions about her decision to stay on as Democratic leader on Wednesday, but one particular inquiry set her off: on her age.
It came from NBC’s Luke Russert, who asked whether Pelosi’s move prohibited the Democratic Party from grooming a new generation of leaders. Pelosi is 72 years old, and her next two deputies — House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer and Assistant Leader James Clyburn — are 73 and 72. …
… When Russert pressed further, Pelosi responded: “So you’re suggesting that everybody step aside? … Let’s for a moment honor it as a legitimate question, although it’s quite offensive. But you don’t realize that, I guess.”
Pelosi then went on to defend her record on electing younger and newer faces to Congress, particularly women, in her 25 years on Capitol Hill.
Russert did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
@Ratboy
There is a huge difference between losing by 2500 votes(Alan West) and 61 votes(the mayor race). That article plays with numbers to make it seem like the 2 are closer then they are. Fact is West is .58% behind(although they cite that he is only 0.08% away from being a mandatory recount) while the other guy is legitimately 0.05% away. They should be comparing 0.58% to 0.05% not 0.08% to 0.05%
