Watching Pelosi speak makes my skin crawl. I’d like to know what exactly she has accomplished other than a bill that had to be passed so we can see what is in it. Good grief.
Thanks Coffee, got most of my 401K back in the money market
So the prez is going on another photo op on Staten Island. Making a big mess a bigger one.
DENNY’S to charge 5% ‘Obamacare surcharge’ and cut employee hours…
Florida based restaurant boss John Metz, who runs approximately 40 Denny’s and owns the Hurricane Grill & Wings franchise has decided to offset that by adding a five percent surcharge to customers’ bills and will reduce his employees’ hours.
With Obamacare due to be fully implemented in January 2014, Metz has justified his move by claiming it is ‘the only alternative. I’ve got to pass on the cost to the customer.’
A Florida restaurant owner who runs 40 franchises of the Denny’s restaurant chain has threatened to add a five percent surcharge to customers bills in an effort to combat Obamacare
The fast-food business owner is set to hold meetings at his restaurants in December where he will tell employees, ‘that because of Obamacare, we are going to be cutting front-of-the-house employees to under 30 hours, effective immediately.’
Strong, fast and robust is how the response to Sandy has been says the President. Hmmm…..I’d like to know if that is how the residents with no power or heat feel.
good morning

“The election is over.
“Get over it.
And deal with it.” Hi Boss; Hope you are feeling better; bet you are since our side won handily. Oh, how it ticked me off when Repubs. told us to “Get over it” in ’00 and ’04. I see Repubs. have learned zip from their loss and continue on their nasty way, alienating voters who pulled the lever for Dem’s. I say, “keep on going and do what you are doing”. When the next election rolls around, you will have even less, angry, old, white men in your corner. You will go back to the days when you were the no where party, which I believe that lasted for forty glorious years. Hope to have a repeat performance of those days. Boss, do continue to give your pearls of wisdom. I certainly appreciate it. BBL
We were subjected to 4 years of Obama’s inexperience and ineptitude. Up ahead: 4 years of ineptitude. Some local business acquaintances have lost their businesses in the past 2 years and moved into studio apartments. Their failures mean that we lost all of their referrals. Incredibly, they still intended to vote for Obama.

In the video clip, Ryan said, “I think the surprise was some of the turnout, some of the turnout in urban areas which definitely gave President Obama the big margin to win this race.”
*******
I pulled up 2012 General Elections on Wikipedia (updated yesterday morning) and there was a map of red/blue by county with a couple of counties in Washington state and Alaska showing not enough to data to compute. By in large, the country was red except for urban areas, which are blue.
^
actually, there are other smaller regions such as upper Minnesota, which are blue as well.
Quick Break

If White Castle does that I WILL FREAK OUT!!!!!!!!!!!
Making it public you are going to add a surcharge is probably not the best for business. It’s rather funny that Obamacare isn’t taking effect till 2014 but all these so called business people are bitching about it now.
Markets are at this time stable, rumors of another QE coming?
Everyone does realize our economy is now being run on by fake money right?
And you do realize when they have to start calling the paper back in what’s going to happen, right?
Hyper inflation may soon gain a whole new meaning.

Unlike the government which can’t seem to derive a budget, or follow one if it does, businesses need to plan ahead with a budget and follow it, or they fail.
@Mark
Morning Mark

It may be funny, but businesses are not going to absorb the cost, never have, never will, and as usual we will get the bill. Kinda like a tax increase we were promised would not be imposed on the Middle Class huh?
And Look for major news from the Nations largest employer Wal-Mart very soon, rumors from those who work there think soon they will announce they will cover no health care for employees and cut up to 80% of their work force to 28 hours per week.
Now that is going to really play well on the market
@TZCA
Businesses need to plan ahead with a budget and follow it, or they fail.
Correct, and people need to remember they do things on a quarterly basis and the fiscal business year ends and begins each October.
Give it time everyone, and you’ll soon feel and see the full effects of those over 3000 pages of hob glob
Now that the bill has passed we are finally getting to see whats in it

The fiscal cliff is a manufactured crisis, there is no crises
@1Nancy2–I got over Romney losing within an hour, you know why Nancy even though I pulled for Romney and detest Obamas policies,I will succeed in my life despite whos occupying the WH.The beauty of this Republic is as George Washington who decreed that he preferred the power in the hands of the people;those who lean toward Obama take the opposite view they depend too much on government.

I get a kick every time there is a play on Pelosi’s words, probably more than when someone play’s on Clinton’s words that Republicans just don’t know simple Arithmetic — kinda like a $5.6 trillion increase in national debt since 2009 is a result of real arithmetic. Obama promised a deficit reduction, and we got one, just with a negative sign in front all the reductions.
Just don’t ever type ‘million’ when you’re thinking ‘billion.’ This means you don’t know simple arithmetic, even though you apply in further calculation the use of that ‘million’ in the ‘billion’ place holder.
I just hope my inability to not perform simple arithmetic doesn’t drop the southeastern electric grid with all those protection relays I misadjusted as a consequence of bad math.
Fortunately for all of you, I didn’t have use ‘millions’ and ‘billions’ when calculating relay setpoints.
