Report: 'The Soul Man' Renewed for Season 2 by TVLand

Deadline reports that TV Land has renewed comedy The Soul Man for a second season. Star Cedric the Entertainer tweeted, "“Just got word #TheSoulMan has been picked up for season #2. Thank all of you who wrote in and/or just watched me @niecynash bout to Turn Up!" Unfortunately, he did not tweet how many episodes season two will have, or when it will premiere. We will let you know when the network releases more information.

    they just renewed one on tvland and expanded its episodes. ithought this show did better on BET. hmmm

    That’s very good news, I enjoy this show along with the rest of the TV Land sitcoms. Now just awaiting word on Retired at 35.

    I love the show. I am glad that there will be a season two! It is a very funny show. For the bet comment, that is disgusting. Why should it be on BET, because they are religious and black? People are ridiculous.
