Wednesday has been full of woe for NBC this season. After scheduling one of the season's biggest bombs, the canceled Animal Practice, in the 8PM slot, the network is now trying to improve its ratings with tonight's return of Whitney. Last season, the series debuted to a strong 3.2 adults 18-49 rating in the Thursday at 9:30PM timeslot but quickly declined. Midseason, it moved to Wednesday at 8PM. Its first season finale, which aired on March 28, 2012, scored a 1.6. How do you think it will fare in season 2? Make your predictions and discuss your reasoning in the comments.
I’m thinking a 1.7 or a 1.8. It’ll do better than Animal Practice, that’s for sure. So I guess technically it IS an improvement for NBC’s Wednesdays.

SVU: 1.8

I have a weird feeling this won’t suffer the drop-off other comedies did this season.
wednesday is a death slot for NBC as the others do really well on that night. it been like that for years now. so no it wont do well. i’m going 1.6.

Same here. People underestimated it in January and it surprised…at least until Idol premiered. But that won’t be the case tonight.
It should do okay given the aggressive promotion by NBC and the relatively uncompetitive timeslot. Its mid-season premiere on Wednesday last season did okay after an equally aggressive promotion campaign.
I’m still a seller on Guys With Kids. There’s no getting away from it getting 1.4 in October, and Whitney doesn’t get good enough ratings to prop its ratings up.
I don’t watch television shows with women in it who could barely fill an a cup bra.
All NBC line up will get 1.8. Maybe lower for Guys with kids.
Or 2.0 for Whitney and 1.6 for GWK. So, that’s still 1.8 avrg.
If NBC can’t do better than Whitney, it should just air a test pattern.

The main obstacle to ongoing good ratings for WHITNEY is that THE MIDDLE has really found an audience.
Why oh why did NBC renew this dreck ? I’m saying 1.4, I just can’t see it doing any better than AP did at 8pm. It’s going against some established shows X Factor, The Middle & Survivor. It even could lose to Arrow on the lowly rated CW network. Bring back the stupid monkey, at least he’s funny,
