Last night's Arrow rose again in total viewers (3.8M) versus last week, giving it its second most watched episode of the season, behind only the premiere. It was even with last week in W18-34 (1.1/3), and was off slightly in A18-49 (1.2/3) and A18-34 (0.9/3).

    I’m still sticking with Arrow but they really need to work on making the supporting characters more interesting. I think I’m supposed to root for Oliver and Laurel to get together but she is so boring, I just can’t! And this show needs to get started on establishing some story arcs. They’re too procedural right now and very reminiscent of Smallville’s freak of the week format in the first couple seasons.

  • Mark Wilkins

    imo the two best shows on the CW, I hope the network sticks with this Wednesday lineup for a long time, it’s almost as good as the Smallville/Supernatural combo/

    Yeah Arrow is pretty good. I agree that the side characters need a little more developing but they are dropping hints to where the series will most likely head towards, like Laurel saying she worse those fishnets to that party, and everyone calling Thea ‘Speedy’. I can really see this series evolving…and pairs great with Supernatural…but I think the question is, will TheCW leave their wednesday nights be, or move SPN once more and try to use Arrow to launch a new series?

  • Wright

    They should leave Wednesdays alone and pick up better quality shows to premiere next year.

    is Arrow going to be renewed in May does anybody know

  • lll

    @Mrc8310
    While it’s still too early to tell based on the ratings and how it stacks up to the rest of the CW network (top three), it’s a shoo-in for renewal in May.

  • Mrc8310

    @lll

    is that a yes or no renewal arrow for second season

  • Holly

    @Mrc8310,

    is Arrow going to be renewed in May does anybody know

    Most likely. At these levels it will absolutely be renewed. While a major drop in ratings is possible, I don’t see it dropping enough to get canceled.

    Mrc8310, you just don’t understand TV, my friend. Not only will ARROW return for 2013-14, it will be around for a minimum of five seasons, guaranteed. Supernatural will also be renewed for at least two more seasons, as both Jared and Jensen recently extended their contracts two more years. So don’t bother asking about Wed. or Thur. show on The CW. The other 3 nights…you can feel free to speculate about…although I foresee a long run for The Carrie Diaries.

    Frankly, The CW has more than 20 series in development for next fall, and most of them sound amazing. I look for a very intriguing slate in the fall. There’s really no reason to stick with shows which aren’t growing or showing promise, such as Emily and Hart of Dixie and 90210. The new offerings are quite buzzworthy and from top-shelf producers, including JJ Abrams, Jerry Bruckheimer, and many others.

    Arrow is CW’s 2nd best show – and best NEW show – it has now been official for next season – but other CW shows doing worse have been renewed – so – most likely – yes renewal.

    Secondary charachters do need a little help – but Arrow is a much stronger than Smallville’s first season was + the secrets of the island are really interesting and gives the show a new dynamic to the back-story line. of the Green Arrow -

  • RG-X

    sorry I meant to type “it has NOT been official for next season” – (this site needs an edit button.

    i want arrow to get to more than 4 million after 2 weeks the episode with Helena which in the comics is batman and catwoman’s daughter comes to arrow ofcourse i dont think they will tell the same story as the comic but it would be nice to see someone like catwoman and the actress is smokn hot so this is only a plus to arrow and i hope more people watch this amazing series.

  • Mrc8310

    @ jason

    Who said Arrow will be around for a minimum of five seasons we don’t know how many seasons of arrow are they doing

  • Cros

    @Christian

    No You are not supposed to root for oliver/laurel, if you dont like move on to something else you want to root for, thats why the show has an infinite amount of ships evolving. Tired of brats always complaining over the same thing over and over again. Millions watch, not everyone will fall for the same ship.

    FYI Laurel is the most interesting female character on the show, she actually ties in to the work Arrow does and will be a superhero, unlike whoever you think is more “interesting”.

  • K_Will

    @POI

    The version that Arrow is going with is the Helena Bertinelli version of Huntress.

    Although given what DC and the New 52 did with the character, you’re technically right.

    In current continuity Helena Wayne used the identity of the long dead Helena Bertinelli and all of the exploits of that version of the Huntress was attributed to Wayne.

    .
    YES!!! Yes. I agree and support.

  • david

    I agree too the three best on the CW. Good to see Arrow up in totall viewers again. I to hope it goes above 4 million viewers in a couple of weeks. It is also doing very well in the adults 25-54 category as well. This week it got a 1.5 in that demo. Good for Super Natural as well.
