You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Wow, I really could not have been more wrong about how Whitney would affect the night. Very bad start to the multicam block.

SVU and Chicago Fire are right back to the status quo. Shame for Chicago Fire, too. If Grimm is stable on Friday, they’ll be the weakest NBC dramas of the week.

Why was Suburgatory down so much?

  • POIFanatic

Holy ****! Supernatural was absolutely fantastic! It deserves higher ratings! It even featured the awesome Amanda Tapping! Cas was awesome! The whole storyline is looking really strong!

Arrow made many of the characters endearing and expanded Oliver’s horizons believably.

So glad these shows did well.

  • ccemerson

WoW !! 15 shows aired last night on the networks and only 3 could garner over 10 million viewers. Sad times. Love how The Middle is so strong. :)

  • rob60990

Don’t worry Whitney fans, it will be losing to Arrow in no time.

Just wait until January when CT scores a higher demo on TBS than most of ABC’s comedies.”

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • Jared

Nice numbers for Arrow. That continues to impress

  • Happy Camper

@ Samunto, I’m almost positive that it will be adjusted down no pun intended. The spike is because it wasn’t up against the Voice like last week.

  • rob60990

“Why was Suburgatory down so much?”

I have no idea why it was up so much last week in the first place. It was a horrible episode. Last night’s was much better.

  • Aiden

X factor was awesome last night. Britney finally seemed to let loose and her commentary was way better. Nice to see its viewers raise. Also happy for Modern Family and Criminal Minds. Both amazing shows.

  • joe

I like modern family more than big bang theory

  • DW

arrow is one huge disappointment. i’m going to drop it soon. there is a ton of bad television out there right now.

  • Justin121

    Winners:

    Chicago Fire
    The Middle
    X-Factor
    Criminal Minds
    Supernatural
    CSI

    Losers:

    Whitney
    The Neighbors
    Guys with Kids

    OK:

    Survivor
    Arrow
    SVU
    Nashville

Modern Family is really a huge hit. Considering 1.8’s are now acceptable,it getting 4.6’s is unbelievable.

Whitney and Guys with Kids should feed off each other and grow over time.

Animal Pracitce was a wrong, wrong decision on NBC’s part.

I just realized they had premiered 3 out of 4 brand-new shows on this night.

  • Chalrie Sheen

Yeah this is a really disappointing start for Whitney, I know I am shocked at the turnout. Now I’m a bit scared for GWK’s future as they needed a strong turnout from Whitney to probably get the back 9 and time is clicking as they are very close to airing their 13th episode. I thought NBC did the best that they could do promotion wise. SVU and Chicago Fire didn’t benefit either as they pretty much got eh same audiences they were getting from the rest of the season. CF has been doing well in the second half-hour which is good news or that show.

Criminal Minds and CSI are really strong together for older shows.

Good uptick from X Factor this week after a couple of weeks of under performing, FOX needed some good news.

Nashville will need to move from Wednesdays, it seems to be lost against the procedurals. ABC really should’ve just kept Revenge right there.

Arrow is extremely strong right now for The CW. Supernatural definitely benefited again but I would like to see Supernatural move back to Fridays with Nikita to make room for Cult.

  • Dalilah

I’m so happy Arrow is doing good and although Criminal Minds as been kind of dull this season I still enjoy it. And who the hell is still watching Supernatural?

  • brittney

Suburgatory was so good last night, too bad it went down but as of now it’s still a lock for renewal in May so that’s fine with me.

  • Enzo

It was a fantastic episode of Supernatural, I am very happy and satisfied with season 8. Congratulations team Supernatural!!

  • DKS

I am surprise that Arrow did not get a rating higher than a 1.2(it was down from last week)it deserves higher. I did notice a little higher number for total viewers.

  • @BritneyLatina

    Britney VS Simon.
    Demi VS LA.
Was the best last night hahahahhaha

  • Joe

I find it strange how Happy Endings did a much better job of retaining Modern Family’s audience than Suburgatory is doing.

I find it stranger how people keep ignoring the shows ABC keeps putting after Modern Family despite all of them being much better than Modern Family.

  • ReallyTired

And Nashville got a full season order? ABC has got so many problems. And this is one for sure!

  • SueP

Happy to see Supernatural hold it’s demo numbers. Really great episode last night. Didn’t want Arrow to dip, but it’s doing just fine. Wednesday nights are good viewing nights again. :)
