You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Definitions: Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Kind of funny that almost all commentary on the Xfactor is about Britney. Modern Family wasn’t so good yesterday, but I enjoyed the Middle.

  • JJA

Supernatural had its best episode in YEARS last night. We have to go back to season 5 to find as episode that good.

I think the CW can safely move Superantural back to Friday, and it will maintain its 1.0 rating there. The quality has truly returned to that show.

  • were123

Arrow still performing amazing! I would love to see it delievering a 1.4 or a 1.5, but maybe withing time ;)
The Middle keeps getting good ratings, which makes me happy, it seems that the 2.2 it got several weeks ago was just a fluke

  • Tessa

I demand an up adjustment for Supernatural. Last night’s episode was the best of this season. Carver finally revealed his hand with Amanda Tapping in a key role and made jaws drop. The new twist is amazing.

  • KS

I didn’t enjoy Supernatural for most part yesterday, till Amanda Tapping showed up.
For the first time ever I am excited to see, how Castiel’s story is gonna turn out. I wish Naomi is controlling Sam too.
Seriously, melodrama has become a little too much on the show. I wish more time was given to Tapping rather than to the two guys two discuss silly issues between them.

  • Harmiel

    X-Factor!

New Girl needs a lead-in like Modern Family and it will crack 3’s.

  • BigBrotherFan

DAMMIT Nashville stay above a 2! For the love of their freakin’ line up ABC desperatley needs to move Subergatory back at 8:30pm and put Happy Endings at 9:30pm the viewers who watch Happy Endings are far more likey to give NASHVILLE a shot, thus exposes it to a new fanbase. Not just mom and dads who are coming off of watching Subergatory with their kids and are now looking for something together to watch. ABC needs a MUCH edgier comedy before NASHVILLE I really believe it would expose it to a new demo that would stick with it. The whole country theme puts alot of people in their 20’s off, believe me.

Oh great! Back to reality for Chicago Fire. Keep wasting airtime on Spencer and see those numbers continue to go down. I’m finding THE CAPTAIN to actually be a pretty interesting character more focus there would be cool.

Whitney. Well those numbers aren’t too bad. Thats about what it was performing last season and I can see it go up. These kind of shows arent really held by their premier numbers because they go up and down throughout the season.

GWK meh. I really enjoy it. I wish there was something more that could be done. Bratford is a really likable lead and so is Jamie Lynn and the storylines are exactly what you expect from this sort of show. I think It’s time to stregthen Wednesday now.

Arrow is steady damn. The lead is beyond awful in terms of acting the rest of this cast carries the show. Clearly. It’s a fun timewaster and I watch. The voiceovers make me laugh. Very corny.

NBC seriolsy SVU to Thursday this is beyond dumb now. How stupid and sad does NBC look to continue to air rock centre. Send it to Saturdays and be done with it once and for all, please! SVU I think could at the very least maintain these numbers on Thursday atleast giving ABC AND THE GOD AWFUL Elementry some ACTUAL competition. They are honestly giving that hour to ABC AND CBS now?

Good for SUPERNATURAL, I guess. I dont watch it. Even though it’s doing very well and is actually doing excellent holding its lead in. SOME HOW 50% of the comments will be fans defending it, etc etc. when if you look at the numbers there really is not any need. Then the conversation will turn into NIKITA/SUPERNATURAL and somewhere down the line (god help us) THE SECRET CIRCLE. LOL

THE MIDDLE WITH NO LEAD IN BEAT SUBERGATORY WITH A 4.6 LEAD-IN..ABC TAKE NOTE!

  • tv#1

ABC should move Suburgatory back to 8:30 for mid-season. It is a better fit with The Middle than Modern Family. How to Live with your Parents( for the rest of your life) looks like a good lead out for Modern Family. The Neighbors and The Family Tools can take Tuesday nights while DWTS is on hiatus.

Whitney did about what I predicted. I still say they should give both Whitney and Guys with Kids a chance on Fridays at 8 and 8:30. They seem better suited for that night and time.

Finally, good night for the CW. If Arrow and Supernatural can keep doing that than they will be fine.

  • th

    What is supernaturels series high?

  • Addy

Arrow gets higher viewers than TVD, but still lower demos. All things considered, Arrow is a massive hit for the CW. They should pick up genre/action shows for next season, and they could get shows above the 1.0 mark. Clean the house! (Except for Dixie and Nikita, of course… and maybe Emily Owens MD which has really grown on me)

  • mula

    @ Samunto:

X factor is getting good. there’s pretty good talent this year ( I prefer it to last year’s talent). it’s very competitive and anyone’s game. there’s about 6 people with a good shot at winning. the kids this year are great!

  • Happy Camper

Anyone else not surprised that Britney said a lot more/was more fierce yesterday after the commercial went up on tuesday when they named her the bully judge (which she wasn’t at all in prior eps)? Makes me think even more that the show is scripted and that they have visible earpieces for a reason. I’m not even going to start about the “puppy love”..

  • Lex

What happens if Naomi is controlling Sam as well( which I think she is).
SPN was build on melodrama nothing new.lol

  • Mark Wilkins

Modern Family, great as always, and good for Supernatural and Arrow, the two best shows on the CW. Their both far ahead of any of the others in terms of quality.

  • Micheal

    @BigBrotherFan
Secret Circle was the best show of all time in you know it.lol

  • Tessa

    @Dalila

And who the hell is still watching Supernatural?

Apparently a lot of young people if you observe how high its demo is compared to its total viewers.

  • Claire

Some people really are idiots. Supernatural was freaking amazing, best episode in years, and Cas is finally back.

Why the hell would they move it back to Fridays?

@Dalilah – who the hell is still watching SPN? Millions of people all around the world.

  • Max

Ouch for Whitney. Very funny opening episode.

  • Martin

Love Arrow but for the Cw it skews really old.

  • Alejandro

    @th

The season high for this yeae is 1.0 if last nights episode maintains that 1.0 it ties with

    8×02 Whats up Tiger Mommy
    8×03 Heart Ache
    8×06 Southern Comfort

In the demo and 8×02 holds the highest viewers to date.
