“@Bill With Marc even being a Retentionista, wouldn’t only a .2 difference between the shows still be considered a good retention number? I mean, most times B&TB is a good 50% lower than TVD, .7 compared to a 1.4 or 1.5. So I would think a 1.2 and a 1.0 show would be considered “good” retention.
Or do I just not understand retention right?”
When folks talk about “retention” its all about the change in ratings from one show to another on the same network on the same night, in series, so say the drop between BBT and 2.5 Men, then 2.5M to POI, etc.
Now knowing what it is, you can ignore it altogether. It doesn’t tell you anything about the future of the show.
@toadytoady,
You need a bigger screen or new glasses. SVU got ratings of 1.7 and a 4 share, not ratings of 1.74. There is a typo in the listing so that it reads 1..7/4 which has not been fixed.
Your pedantry is irrelevant HGFM.You just like to put SVU down any chance you get.
The ratings were 1.7 and it was the highest of the night. Thats the important point.
@Bill LOL, OK, thanks! I will duly ignore it then
The Middle is among the most consistent sitcoms today. Week after week this show delivers the laughs. Every actor is superb.
Chicago Fire gets about the same ratings as SVU. That’s gotta be good!
Criminal Minds #1 in Viewers woohoo
wow Arrow is on fire
i love supernatural and i dont bother what rating says!
