LAS VEGAS NOVEMBER 16, 2012 – The biggest names in Latin music gathered last night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas for the 13th Annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards, while 10 million viewers tuned in to all or part of the live three-hour broadcast on the Univision Network. Last night’s broadcast also delivered an average audience of nearly 5 million Total Viewers 2+, 2.6 million Adults 18-49 and 1.4 million Adults 18-34 and positioned Univision as the No. 2 broadcast network for the entire night among Adults 18-34, beating ABC, CBS, NBC and the CW.

 

The Latin GRAMMY Awards on Univision attracted more Hispanic viewers in the demographic groups of Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49 than the combined audience of the latest editions of the “American Music Awards,” “Billboard Music Awards,” “Primetime Emmy Awards” and “MTV Video Music Awards.”

The Latin GRAMMY Awards on Univision was the fifth most-watched program on all of broadcast television on the night of November 15 with more Adult 18-34 viewers than the entire line-ups on NBC (“30 Rock,” “Up All Night,” “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Rock Center with Brian Williams”) and the CW (“The Vampire Diaries” and “Beauty And The Beast”), as well as first-run episodes of ABC’s “Last Resort” and “Scandal,” CBS’ “Person Of Interest” and “Elementary” and FOX’s “Glee.”

 

Additionally, the awards show out-performed all the primetime programs on NBC (“30 Rock,” “Up All Night,” “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Rock Center with Brian Williams”) and the CW (“The Vampire Diaries” and “Beauty And The Beast”) across Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49.

 

The Latin GRAMMY Awards ranked within the Top 10 programs on all of broadcast television among Total Viewers 2+ and Adults 18-49.

 

Preceding the 13th Annual Latin GRAMMY Awards, Univision’s special green carpet pre-show “Noche de Estrellas” (Night of Stars) at 7 p.m. ET/PT (6 p.m. Central) averaged 3.6 million Total Viewers 2+.
