The Cancellation Bear is beginning his Thanksgiving feast a week early. Just a few hours after the cancellation of Partners, two more shows have been axed. Per The Hollywood Reporter, ABC has canceled its freshman dramas Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue. Each show will air all 13 episodes that were shot, but will not continue beyond episode 13, despite the additional scripts that were ordered. There is already some speculation that Nashville could take over 666 Park Avenue's time period. We will post more details as they become available.

@Dochas – Agreed. If you go to ABC’s site (http://beta.abc.go.com/shows) you can watch trailers for the new shows; none of them look that appealing, though Zero Hour looks better than its description sounds.
Wow what a great birthday present! First Partners and now 666 Park Avenue! I figured they would both be canceled, but it still pisses me off. I am surprised that ABC canceled both 666 and Last Resort…I figured one would get some additional episodes or something.
That ABC timeslot on Thursdays has been cursed since Mork & Mindy got cancelled. Even Ugly Betty didn’t last as long as it should’ve.
RIP Last Resort, I hate to turn into this type of fan (speaks to how strong the show is/how much I liked it) but I really hope it gets picked up elsewhere, this really had Cable written all over it and kudos to ABC for giving it a try (if mangling its scheduling, leading into Grey’s Anatomy and against BBT? really?) but this could’ve launched better on cable. Showtime would be a good home for it (imagine it paired with Homeland after Dexter ends!), but FX and possibly HBO works too. This could be a cheap pick-up for AMC which surely must see how important it is to debut a new non-reality show. If only it had a post-Walking Dead time slot, just imagine the possibilities. Ah, excuse me, zealous fan daydreaming.
I never watched either two of these shows. I always wanted to watch 666, but I didn’t want to invest my time in it for it to only be cancelled. ABC should move Nashville to 666′s timeslot. It’s such a great show and it would fit right in on Sunday Nights. I think it could do better than it is now and it’s need to get better to survive the Cancellation Bear!
“Does anyone know what ABC’s mid-season replacements are? I admit to not keeping up. At all.”
ABC replacements on my list (not guaranteed accurate)
The Family Tools
How To Live With Your Parents
Body Of Proof
Mistresses
Red Widow
Also, does anyone know why networks are so quick to cancel shows and don’t try to move them around to different time slots? I feel like so much work and money goes into these shows so I don’t understand why they just give up instead of moving it somewhere else for a few episodes. The ratings may improve…I guess this is why I don’t run a network though haha.
Not suprised by any of todays cancellations but im glad ABC is letting the shows air their episode orders
If 666 is cancelled, then I hope for the last ep they kill off some lead characters like jane and give us a jaw dropping series finale, at least go out with a bang right?
I think Last Resort should get a “Southland”-like pick up from TNT. Last Resort would be a good fit for TNT and I believe they would be good for the TNT target demo (25-54).
I’m more interested in the replacements, but I guess that won’t be announced today.
Maybe now Cinderella’s character can appear more on Once Upon A Time more.
Shame about 666 it was a lot of fun, yet again America proves they have little taste.
Now that “666″ is cancelled, ABC should bring back “Good Christian Bitches”, that show was a hoot!
Seriously, don’t these network honchos take a look at these pilots??
Now maybe, just friggin MAYBE ABC will finally WISE UP and quit airing new shows against The Big Bang Theory.
It really disgusts me that a great show like Last Resort has been cancelled and garbage like Mob Doctor is still on the air. I know Mob Doctor will get the axe too, but it should have been gone the second or third week of the season. It’s no House, nor should FOX have expected it to be.
I think Nashville should be moved to take 666′s place and HE and 23 to take LR’s place and Terra Nova should take TMD’s place.
Will The CW air Cult before the spring?
Good move!
Nashville on Sundays
Mistresses on Wednesdays
I really like Last Resort
