You’re stupid. It’s so easy to Google past ratings. Hell you could just look on this site. Why are you trying to piss off Supernatural fans with your blatant lies?

Supernatural was the second highest rated scripted show for the CW in the 2009-2010 season (and the season before that, and tied for the season after). It wasn’t ever at risk of cancellation. Ratings (at least A18-49) weren’t the reason it was sent to Fridays to be paired up with Smallville again. (And for the record Smallville wasn’t sent to Fridays because it’s ratings were bad either, considering it was the #1 show in A18-49 before Vampire Diaries.) The female demo on the other hand, sure, pretty terrible there. Although no show has had better retention after Vampire Dairies than Supernatural, can’t blame them for trying.

But seriously, what the hell ever at your childish attempts to rile Supernatural fans up for no damn reason. As other posters said, Vampire Dairies and Supernatural have never been in competition and Supernatural fans have nothing to be bitter toward Vampire Dairies about.

By the by, it’s also equally childish and idiotic to root for shows on other networks in the same timeslot to fail. It doesn’t make your show more likely to be renewed (just ask CBS).

    still can’t stand Elementary,
wish CBS stays with the Mentalist on thursday night. :(

  • Dante

I guess ABC said whenever TVD beats Last Resort that is when we will cancel it. 30 Rock is also laughable. Wasn’t 30 Rock a pretty big show for NBC at one point?

  • Gary A

Other than the childish thrill of going “n’yah n’yah my show beat your show” why do is it so god awful important that GA beat POI by 1/10th of a point?

In the world of numbers, to an advertiser, that difference is almost meaningless. And the fact that POI had 6 million more viewers ( don’t tell me that total viewers dont count and all that ), the better value for your $$ was on POI.

    TV is a business, remember.

  • martine

If I were an advertiser, the fact that POI was 1/8 th less in the 18 to 49 demo would be offset by the fact that it had so many more viewers. I bet if you looked at 25 to 54 demo it beats Greys by a margin. And a lot of people look at that today.

  • martine

Also, the last resort, 30 rock and vampire diaries are about the same. Its not exactly like it 1/4 of a percent is worth discussing.

  • martine

Beauty and the Beast is creeping up. I can’t believe I am saying this about a CW show…but I think it might prove to be good. it was terrible when I first watched it, but I accidently looked at it again, and the writing and acting has sorted itself out. Its not bad. For a CW show.

  • Ultima

If I were an advertiser, the fact that POI was 1/8 th less in the 18 to 49 demo would be offset by the fact that it had so many more viewers

And I’m sure that your clients would wonder why it costs them so much more to advertise on CBS…

  • Janie

@ Max, I agree – don’t understand the Arrow vs TVD rivalry. You can like both, which I do. I hope both do well.

  • George

    Really, cant they do better then this on television shows ? There used to be good shows that were either faith shows. From big bang theory shows to vampires that dont exist or are rapists and on to beasts that are not beutiful. Surely we can go back to instead of 2 and one half to 26 men the true story of the Arizona Rangers who brought outlaws to justice in the last century or before . What ever happened to shows like the Waltons with traditional values and Little House on the Prairee. We need more of them as well as good verses evil and not just evil. And above all we need more tv movies like, Jesus of Nazarath, and other biblical movies. We need more shows that dont glorify sin but God our creator. Who sent his only begotten Son, the Lord Jesus Christ into the world to save sinners by dying for them on the cross, being buried, and rising from the dead the third day, and being seen of men, and returning back up to heaven. If only some will repent of their sins against him and trust in him as their personal Saviour and Lord God. So let some producers and directors step up and be different instead of encouraging senceless murdurs. rapes, sex perversion, and disobedience to parents as well as the occult or satan worship instead of God worship. Sincerely ;

@Restless, stop getting butthurt. I already told you i have no ill will towards SPN and have no intention of causing trouble. It was just my theory and thats all

  • martine

@ Ultima; not if they saw that it did better in the 25 to 54 demo, and again, I doubt they would round down to a tenth of a percent to start with. POI is EXACTLY THE SAME as Grey’s Anatomy. No one would wonder anything.

  • martine

And advertisers are the clients. They are the ones that sponsor the show. Their clients just watch an ad. they don’t ask or know how much it cost. So I don’t even know what you are saying to me.

  • martine

@ George, what do you mean? All scripted shows are fictional. They do not, not have they ever corresponded to real life. The Waltons are every bit as make believe as a vampire. Fiction is fiction. All fiction tells a story, and gives some sort of Aesop about life, I suppose. It matters little wether the protagonists are doctors, cops or zombies. But they usually do it in a more subtle way. As an example Alan Ball obviously uses the vampire/human relations in True Blood to describe his feelings on being gay in a straight world. Writers write what they know in one way or another. Which is why a writer living today can’t write like a writer that lived sixty years ago. They simply don’t have the same stories in them.

this arrow vs tvd thing is just stupid because I watch BOTH SHOWS and spn too and even though i prefer TVD over arrow and spn I wouldn’t mind arrow getting higher ratings than tvd because the cw really needs it and tvd doesn’t have to prove it self anymore and arrow is in its first season we’ll see how it does in its 4th season

  • Lucas

TBBT is a monster hit, wow. And really happy for TVD, my favorite show nowadays. Fantastic for the CW! Fantastic.

  • Jack

How can Beauty and the Beast be “creeping up” if its ratings went down this week? Last week it did 0.7, 1.84. This week it did .6, 1.56. In what mathematically logical universe is that an increase?

  • POIFanatic

People need to realize that its only one person who’s riling up everyone around here – TVDxItachi (who’s giving a bad name to Itachi too btw).

I’ve been a fan of Supernatural for 7 years now. I like both TVD and Arrow as well. The only way I want Arrow to beat TVD is by gaining in ratings and not by TVD losing viewers. CW needs all the hits it can get if we want more of these shows.

  • Restless

It’s not a theory when it’s a random guess with no basis in fact whatsoever. It’s just you being a brat and trying to start trouble. Which hey, you got, hope you’re happy.

I love the show Person of Interest, its a great show for anybody how likes the spy action/psuedo comic book genre tv series in the vain of Batman Begins mixed with a little bit of The Bourne Movie saga.I highly recommend this show.
