What Show Should Be the Lead-in for 'Grimm? - Poll

Grimm has become Friday's highest rated drama series despite having reruns as its lead-in. The week that the network aired the Mockingbird Lane pilot  at 8PM, Grimm's ratings rose, strengthening the case that the show could grow into a genuine hit, at least by Friday standards, if it had a compatible lead-in. This is your chance to play network executive. What show from NBC's current and upcoming line-up would you move to Friday at 8 (or 8:30PM if you select a half hour show) to help Grimm reach its potential? Since this is a frivolous poll, you are free to do something that NBC never would, like move Revolution to Friday.Make your selection, then explain your reasoning in the comments.

Honestly? Anything lol, just put something there at least.

  • Chuck

    Mockingbird Lane? Seems compatible.

  • J.G.

Cheers reruns? It sure beats a test pattern

  • kyle

Hannibal but I would go with Community because I miss it

  • ivan

i voted for hannibal cuz i think there is a lot of buzz about the show but the problem is that is a 10 pm show not 8pm i dont think that nbc or any other network will put this kind of show on 8 pm so probably smash at 8 pm and hannibal at 10 and they will also have an amazing line-up just like abc has on sundays 3 amazing diffrent and interesting shows:P

Mockingbird Lane, provided NBC order a full season…

  • Chrisanne

Pickup Battlestar Blood & Chrome and package them together! Buying the rights to Firefly or Terminator TSCC could work as well! =p

Out of the existing shows, Hannibal or Do No Harm. Likely the latter.

Hannibal looks like NBCs best new show why is everyone voting put it on Friday ?

Community would be the perfect fit for a lead-in to Grimm just because Community wouldn’t face the CBS’ hits in thursday night.NBC put the show against TBBT is a killer slot.1600 Penn,Community and Grimm on fridays would be a dream come true.

Hannibal sounds the most compatible to me. It’s a horror show mixed with crime procedural and it has its own brand. NBC could sell Fridays as a horror night or something. And I hope it gets that slot, since it sounds like a good show (Mads Mikkelsen is a terrific actor, Bryan Fuller a terrific writer and the supporting cast is decent) and the other option would be Thursdays at 10, which’s much worse.

“Hannibal looks like NBCs best new show why is everyone voting put it on Friday ?”

I don’t know if it looks like the best but I do agree that it should be given a chance outside of Friday before its brought to that cesspool.

Either Mockingbird Lane (ordering the series) or Hannibal, which seems compatible with Grimm

I voted ‘Off Their Rockers’ which seems like a Friday night show and one that did fairly well last season.

    Something else not listed: Dateline.
One of Crossbones, Hannibal, Dracula (also not listed), or Do No Harm should follow it. Why put a unproven new drama at 8?

NBC Spring 2013 fantasy schedule (Hey, you said we could play at being networks execs.):

    8: The Voice
    10: Revolution

    8: The Voice
    9: Go On
    9:30: TNN
    10: Smush

    8: Whitney
    8:30: Save Me
    9: SVU
    10: Chicago Fire

    8: Community
    8:30: Parks & Recreation
    9: The Office
    9:30: 1600 Penn
    10: Hannibal

    8: Dateline
    9: Grimm
    10: Crossbones

    8: 1600 Penn (R)
    8:30: The New Normal (R)
    9: Rock Center
    10: SVU (R)

    7: Dateline NBC
    8: The Biggest Loser
    9: Do No Harm
    10: Celebrity Apprentice

  • Nick

Could you add Dateline & Dracula to the list?

  • Nathaniel M.

Do not Harm… Since it lost the Sunday schedule, maybe put it on Friday. Apparently there is no room for Monday to Wednesday and Sunday, the schedule is full, while Thursday at 10 or Friday at 8. I would say Friday because Thursday at 10 is kind of like “dead spot”.

I say have Dracula air Fridays @ 8 and Hannibal Fridays @ 10 (or vise-versa). Those shows, along with Grimm, could create a powerful night for NBC (by Friday standards, of course). I

  • CrimTV

I didn’t think that NBC were airing Dracula until next season
