Which New Broadcast TV Show Will Be Canceled Next? (Poll)

Just 4 hours after our last "Which New Broadcast Show Will Be Canceled Next?" poll, both 666 Park Avenue and Last Resort were canceled by ABC. 666 Park Avenue was #2 in that poll, while Last Resort was #4. The season's dinner menu for the Cancellation Bear has also included Partners, Made In Jersey, Animal Practice, Private Practice, and Next Caller.

Which show will be next on the menu of the Cancellation Bear?

I've also added the "A show not on this list" option if you think a veteran show will be canceled next.

Better to Follow The Bear, Than Be Chased By Him. This season you can follow the Cancellation Bear on Twitter via @TheCancelBear. The Cancellation Bear will retweet all the Renew/Cancel Index post titles and links as well as engage in a little more back and forth banter than we do on our standard @TVbytheNumbers Twitter feed.

Because comment thread lawyers are everywhere, let's be clear that for the purposes of this poll "canceled" means removed from its initially scheduled timeslot, either off the air entirely or rescheduled to a burn off timeslot, even if the network *claims* the show will return later (two seasons ago those who answered The Whole Truth in the "next to be canceled" poll ended up being correct, it was removed first among the shows noted and never returned, despite initial ABC claims to the contrary).

What's your guess?

Vote as many times as you want!

Emily Owen, please. Let Justin Hartley do something else.

  • Laura

Well, it’s Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue – 2 shows not on the list.

  • Nick

    Revolution (NBC)  3.61%
    Go On (NBC)  0.9%
    The Neighbors (ABC)  2.89%
    The New Normal (NBC)  3.7%
    Elementary (CBS)  0.63%
    Arrow (CW)  0.72%

What are you people smoking? I need some.

Well, it’s Last Resort and 666 Park Avenue – 2 shows not on the list.

They’re not on the list because they were already cancelled:

Technically The Mob Doctor, because it will mysteriously disappear from Fox’s schedule once January rolls around.

  • AppleStinx

This must be the most fun we’ve had with any of TVbtN’s polls. Six (?) rounds and ‘The Mob Doc’ is still throwing their bear and 40% of the participants for a loop.

  • Eric_Philly

Man, that Mob Doctor sure has staying power… somehow…

  • POIFanatic

The Mob Doctor is already dead. It doesn’t even get a 1.0 in the demo. Why don’t they announce it already! Next will be Emily Owens.

  • Jon

I still think Emily owens can gain some traction yet. It just needs to get enough Hart of Dixie fans to not turn the channel when it comes on and give it a chance.

  • Jeff R.

Mob Doctor is still a sucker’s bet. Fox can’t make decisions about next season’s dramas until Bones’ cast is signed up (or not), and won’t announce anything (even things that are the same either way) until it is.

So, I went for ‘not on the list’ over Emily. Not a veteran show, but rather at least one of the midseason replacements Lone-Starring (and the CW holding off long enough for that to happen.)

Why is Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23 considered “safe” in this poll when it fell to a 1.1 last week? I gotta believe it’s done after 13 episodes, maybe sooner.

  • omabin

I predicted 666 and Last Resort in the last one… The next one is Emily Owens. The reasons behind Fox sticking with all the episodes of Mob Doctor are unknown to me, but for whatever reason, that’s what they are doing.

  • Californiadgd

    tbbt for sure

  • Just Desserts

hehe. It’s Revolution and Elementary next :)

  • Lucinders

@KevinY, the reason why Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23 is not in this poll because this is a poll for NEW shows. That particular show is in it second season.

  • 728huey

I chose a show not on this list, because as much as I want to say it will be The Mob Doctor, I have a feeling it will air all of its episodes, even though it’s a dead show walking. My guess for next cancellation is Up All Night, which will probably end when 30 Rock ends its run next month, followed either by Whitney, Guys With Kids, and/or Don’t Trust the B**** In Apt. 23.

  • Dan S

I’m on a roll predicting which show the bear will devour next. My next guess is not Mob Dr (its day is coming) but Emily Owens MD. That show almost got caught by the bear earlier this week but got what I call a temporary reprieve. The ratings are so pathetically low there’s really no reason to keep the show alive. With Cult waiting in the wings the CW will likely make an announcement soon.

  • Dan S

On another guess is if I’m wrong about EOMD another show close to getting caught by the bear has to be Guys With Kids. @ 728huey, UAN is fine for now because it got its season order extended by 3 episodes & is planning on their last 5 shows to be the dreaded multi-cam.

  • Josh

    @ Eric

The New Normal has already been renewed. Find the information here http://tvnews.pazsaz.com/renew.html#.UKeWBr-9LTo

  • Lucinders

    @728huey

None of the shows you have mentioned are NEW shows, with the exception of Guys with Kids. This poll is about NEW shows.
