Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2012 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.
NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.
Definitions:
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent. More information on ratings is available here.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

MC is going down and that is because its a bad show i only watch it if there is nothing on and because LMS is its lead in.
@richard…i heard it was coming back in feb. but i don’t think there is an exact date set yet…
@Bill and/or Robert…
have you seen this? LMAO

For fridays ABC comedies arent bad only being beaten by Undercover Boss and even with Shark Tank wining its hour, I expect both Last Man Standing and Malibu Country to get full seasons.
Here’s a fun fact to spin in ABC’s Friday Comedies favor, Last Man Standing and Malibu Country still both beat ABC’s Tuesday Happy Endings and Apartment 23. With HE and A23 having full seasons of 23 and 19 episodes respectively I don’t see why ABC wouldn’t give the cheaper multi camera comedies more episodes.
So how bad was MC that its down a whole point from its premiere just 2 weeks ago? At least Shark Tank wont be moving.
Grimm did fine. 1.6 is about average.
The GWK repeat got half of its Wed ratings on Friday. Whitney did similarly during summer. Multicams always repeat well.
Disappointing for Grimm. It was great episode. Nick finally knows about Renard.
MC was pretty bad too. Some of it was okay but the celebrity rapper totally ruined the episode. MC feels like Hannah Montana like I claimed when the pilot trailer was released, except a generation older.
Grimm is more than fine at 1.6 … some of the episodes in the middle last year were at 1.2 or 1.3.
Grimm went as low as 1.2 for a number of episodes last season.
Season 2 is doing far better then season 1 so far….
season 3 is a lock
CW 9pm spot is terrible
If LMS and MC can stablize to 1.5 for the next few weeks than they wil be fine, Friday = lower expectations. So comedies getting 1.4 is like them getting 2.4 on a regular night.
LMS is just a horrible show. It flopped last season and its not doing so good this season either. Tim Allen is the ONLY reason why this series wasn’t cancelled. MC has its funny moments..but I can’t see it sticking around too long with those ratings.
ABC Friday is still a solid night. Shark Tank is there Friday night hit and its helping 20/20. Last Man Standing is solid its Malibu Country thats a bit shaky. ABC Friday comedies are higher then Tuesdays. ABC will keep this whole lineup
@dan…what makes you think these abc comedies can stabilize at a 1.5? they are already below that and have been falling fast (especially mc) i don’t if they are done falling yet…i’m thinking they will stabilize between 1.0-1.2…
correction…doubt, not don’t…where’s that edit button
The ratings for last night’s episode was disappointing, but why are some people acting like Grimm is on its deathbed? This season’s ratings are much stronger than last season’s. I am hopeful that it will be adjusted up, but regardless season three is a sure thing.
@JonnysBro – I agree, you need to look at the whole Friday night schedule to see that the shows aren’t doing as bad as they seem. Even in total viewers which don’t matter, both comedies still beat other nights of the week. ABC must seem satisfied with their friday night lineup.
LMS/MC fading too fast, Breaking Dawn last night, Black Fri next week & Nikita the week after, Shark Tank still strong 1.9, 20/20 flat
Expected Grimm finale to take 9:00, but 1.6 isn’t bad
UB takes 8:00 (unscripted), NY flat & even Ms Houston couldn’t bring ratings for Whitney
Clip show on CW does better than Nikita, FOX will soon be all but forgotten
So, a pretty much free-to-air episode of Top Model scored better than original Nikita.
They should just air specials at 9 p.m. through the end of the season, with CSI: NY, Shark Tank and GRIMM the hour is too competitive.
