Predict the Ratings for the 'American Music Awards' - Poll

Categories: Awards Shows

November 18th, 2012

Great news for those of you who are sick of our Once Upon A Time polls: the show is preempted tonight, so we can't do one. Instead we're asking about what's airing in its place, The American Music Awards. In 2010 and 2011 it averaged a 4.3 adults 18-49 rating, low for what has historically been a very popular telecast. In 2009, it earned a big 5.5 adults 18-49 rating.

Tonight's scheduled performers include Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj. Ludacris, Chris Brown, Stevie Wonder, Kelly Clarkson, Linkin Park, No Doubt, Usher and Carly Rae Jepsen.

How do you think it will do? Make your predictions in our poll.

  • Mark Wilkins

another awards show? does anyone really care what awards their favorites win? I look at the scheduled performers and I don’t even know who any of them are or what genre of musak they play.

We need to think about this guys. It has stupid tween favorites – Swift & Beaver. And the awesome LP. I’ll be optimistic and say 4.3-4.4.

  • Dan S

I guess the awards show will do better than 666. It won’t do as good as TWD over on AMC but dang I’m going to miss OUAT.

  • Mike O

All of the worst of the worst are going to show up to perform tonight with the exception of Luda. If the gets above a 3.9 it’ll be a ludachristmas miracle.

  • Ragnarsson

Christina Aguilera is also performing. So at least one performance will be good. And live, too. There’s also that.

  • ron

4.3 to 4.5 the performers are great

Wait the American Music Awards are still relevant?

Can not stand POP music anymore it all sounds the freaking same, minus a few stand outs here and there.

Even if this show hurt Walking Dead’s ratings, does it matter? Dead will rise next week and is a shoo in for renewal.
