Great news for those of you who are sick of our Once Upon A Time polls: the show is preempted tonight, so we can't do one. Instead we're asking about what's airing in its place, The American Music Awards. In 2010 and 2011 it averaged a 4.3 adults 18-49 rating, low for what has historically been a very popular telecast. In 2009, it earned a big 5.5 adults 18-49 rating.
Tonight's scheduled performers include Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj. Ludacris, Chris Brown, Stevie Wonder, Kelly Clarkson, Linkin Park, No Doubt, Usher and Carly Rae Jepsen.
How do you think it will do? Make your predictions in our poll.

About 3.7-4.0. There’s a lot of performers that’ll bring an audience such as Swift, Bieber, Minaj & Linkin Park.
There are a lot of these ratings polls on TVBTN. Not that I’m complaining, but why don’t you just make them officially a daily thing?
On Sundays, you’d do Once Upon a Time or The Walking Dead, Mondays could be Castle v. Hawaii Five-0 v. Revolution, Tuesdays could be Sons of Anarchy, Wednesdays could be …something, Thursdays could be POI v. Grey’s, and Friday could be “How low can Nikita go?”. Why not?
Nick: I agree with your thinking in theory and probably in practice. The only problem with formalizing it is that there will be days where there are no polls for a variety of reasons (incl. flow of other stories). I mostly like your schedule though and have to concede we probably should implement regular polls for Walking Dead, Nikita and Person of Interest.
@john
“Even if this show hurt Walking Dead’s ratings, does it matter? Dead will rise next week and is a shoo in for renewal.”
I don’t think anyone on the planet is worried about it being cancelled. We just want The Walking Dead to break it’s own records at this point. Lol
3.6, I don’t think you need an awards show to see these artists in today’s market
I think it will go down to 4.0
Honestly, you can just watch the performances online later, so what’s the point of watching the show?
3.8
EW Justin Beiber
well now I wont watch! agh
@Robert
Thanks. I get your point.
@Felipe Nikita,
Nice
before i watch it’s last 60 minutes i would say 3.6 or so but after i saw who won the biggest prize i say i hope it’s not that high.
4.1-4.2
Execpt for the country acts, it was a boorfest. I tuned out Faith Hill & SNF for this! The end of the show was real strange.
Didn’t bother to watch. So many of today’s “artists” sound so much alike it is hard to tell them apart. I only like a few of them but there are just too many awards shows nowdays to even get excited about.
4.0. No Whitney Houston death to exploit and no one talks about Adele anymore.
Just too much POP MUSIC for me as well, you have Rappers and R&B Singers doing Pop and you have Pop Singers trying to be Rappers
American Music has no originality right now which is just SAD TO SEE considering the great history they have
