   “Gee, if I were Sean Hannity, I’d rather have 890,000 more total viewers than Maddow, than 80,000 more 25/34?s.”

   I’m not sure that’s a good thing for Hannity. That extra 890,000 advantage he enjoys over Maddow is among viewers 65-years and older. He will see a decrease in viewership year-over-year if he stays with that demo.

   I think you’ll see him begin to moderate his message or see further erosion, I’m afraid. I could be wrong.

   Jeff, just because you say so doesn’t make it true. It never ceases to amaze me how Liberals say all these nasty things about FOX, yet they NEVER give proof. I think in the Liberal mind if they think it is true then it must be so!

   Fox News mislead their audience…..get out of your little bubble, the Neo-Cons were “shell-shocked”……Except you, it seems.

   Jayson: Not necessarily viewers 65 and older. What about 12-24′s? And, 65-year olds are likely to have more spendable cash on hand, than a 59 year old like me.

   You really need to learn about the ratings and why the DEMO is at that age group. People over a certain age are not considered demo because they are set in their “old ways”. The advertisers believe that if someone over the age of 50 used Crest toothpaste, for instance, they would never even think about changing brands. Now, since the baby boomers are coming through I think the age group should go up to 60 because they ARE a generation that keeps an open mind and embraces new ideas, but that’s just my opinion. It also depends if people that old like to spend money or sit on it. The demo is the demo, doesn’t matter what YOU believe or want to believe buddy. You can’t just change it because you dislike that Fox has been losing in the demo lately. You’ve had no problem with that before…until now that is.

    @RedBarSoup: I already know the old Madison Avenue theory that older folks such as myself don’t switch brands. That may be true for some, but you haven’t seen much of today’s seniors, have you? But, we’re talking about the Holiest of Holies 25-54 audience. That’s a pretty wide stretch of people. And, people under 25 and older than 55 don’t switch brands?

    And, this Big Brother remark. If I commented on ANY reality show, it’s once in a awhile. I don’t hate anyone. I think the people who watch MSNBC other than tuning in for comic relief are brainless, but I don’t HATE them. Every day here, the same half-wits utter the same comments about Fox News. But, I don’t hate them either. I find it puzzling that so many people identify with Rachel Maddow. Doctor? I don’t care how many PhD’s someone may have. They shouldn’t be called “Doctors” unless they actually heal people. Oh, I had enough already.

    Every day here, the same half-wits utter the same comments about MSNBC yet you never comment on that. So really your beef isn’t with half-wits that comment on a “News” channel, you only have beef with people that:

    1) Attacks your precious “News” channel

    2) Liberals.

    Just come to the realization both channels are NOT news and that kool-aid drinking fan boys will be kool-aid drinking fan boys and maybe you will learn something.

    In terms of advertisers(ie what pays the bills), I am not sure which is more desirable basically many more viewers in a wide range of ages or more of a targeted audience you are going after
