Due to the nature of live programming the ratings for NBC (NFL Football), & CBS/FOX (Football Overruns) are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.
NBC was number one among adults 18-49 and with total viewers.
On NBC, Sunday Night Football (Baltimore/Pittsburgh) earned a preliminary 6.0 adults 18-49 rating from 8:30-11:00PM, down from last week's 7.9 rating.
On FOX, The Simpsons earned a 2.5 down seven tenths from last week's 3.2. Bob's Burgers earned a 1.8, down six tenths from last week's 2.4 adults 18-49 rating. Family Guy earned a 2.5, down two tenths from last week's 2.7 adults 18-48 rating. American Dad is the only animation program that didn't go down this week, earning a 2.0, up from its last original's 1.8 adults 18-49 rating two weeks ago.
On ABC, America's Funniest Home Videos earned a 1.7, up three tenths from last week's 1.4 adults 18-49 rating. The American Music Awards garnered a 3.4, down almost a full ratings point from last year's 4.3 and the lowest-rated telecast for the AMAs ever. Your predictions were about right.
On CBS, football overruns delayed the start of primetime until 7:53. These numbers are basically worthless until we see the finals tomorrow.

Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

CBS IS REALLY DOING A DISSERVICE BY AIRING THEIR SUNDAY NIGHT PROGRAMS SO LATE
I’m curious. Since the Mentalist was basically not on prime time last night so do the network and advitizers still look at the ratings?
Damn lol that’s really low for the AMAs… It didn’t do much better than OUAT typically does.
Terrible drop for AMAs. The show was a hot mess.
those are some scatological ratings.
“On ABC, America’s Funniest Home Videos earned a 1.7, down three tenths from last week’s 1.4 adults 18-49 rating.”
Yikes.
Is there some errors in the text, cause AFHV was actually up 3 tenths and it says that the AMA’s were down almost a whole ratings point from 3.4 to 3.4.
How the hell is ‘The Good Wife’ still on the air?????
Even CW would have cancelled such an underperforming show by now.
I think Bob’s Burgers is actually up from last week.
Awful for Amazing Race and it was such a good episode. I’m so pissed at those overruns. Why don’t they appoint the games to start a hour earlier.
Good Wife has nearly the same ratings demos as The Cleveland Show.
LOL
60 minutes looks like best in sunday CBS programing. That is sad. Sundays is now worst CBS day. Even CBS fridays are better.
Lows for TM and TGW in november……..and TAR is so low.
Time for one cycle per year for TAR and survivor i guess. May be both in sundays at 8 and new reality is wednesday at 8pm.
“The American Music Awards garnered a 3.4, down almost a full ratings point from last year’s 3.4″
uhm…
“I’m curious. Since the Mentalist was basically not on prime time last night so do the network and advitizers still look at the ratings?”
Not clear what you mean by “look at”?
Do the commercial ratings for the show effect what the advertisers paid for/get? Yes.
Do the ratings get averaged into the show’s season averages (which are largely PR constructs)? Yes.
Do the ratings get averaged into the network’s season averages? I believe only the primetime portion does, but am not certain.
Wish CBS would premiere their new program “30 Minutes”
@ReallyTired
Shows on The CW that get a 1.6 (TVD) will only get cancelled if there was an apocalypse!
@ really tired TGW is performing fine with what its up against. you can put ncis zombie football player tv show in there and it would still do a 1.7.
FOX is really in dire straits as entire block of toons off dramatically
Another excellent ep of TGW last night
Hats off to FB overrun 53 minutes–TGW started just as “The Dust Bowl” ended & with no OUAT & PA, it couldn’t have worked out better
I hate these overruns for The Mentalist. It’s such a good show. I just wish The Good Wife wasn’t the lead in.
meh… sundays ratings are boring without ONCE upon a time and REVEN8E.
