Last night’s Monday Night Football game (Bears/49ers) was simulcast on the CBS affiliate in San Francisco. As a result, the CBS numbers may be inflated  and subject to more than typical adjustments in the finals.

NBC was number one with adults 18-49, while ABC won with total viewers.

On NBC, The Voice earned a 3.7, down sharply from last week's 4.4 adults 18-49 rating. Revolution was even with last week's 2.6 among adults 18-49. Your predictions were too optimistic.

On CBS, How I Met Your Mother was even with last week's 3.0 among adults 18-49. 2 Broke Girls scored a 3.4, up two tenths from last week's 3.2 among adults 18-49. Mike & Molly earned a 2.9, down a tenth from last week's 3.0 adults 18-49 rating. Hawaii Five-O notched a 2.2, up a tenth from last week's 2.1 adults 18-49 rating.

On ABC, Dancing With the Stars scored a 2.3, up two tenths from last week's 2.1. Castle earned a 2.0, up a tenth from last week's 1.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On FOX, Bones scored a 2.0, up a tenth from last week's 1.9 among adults 18-49. The Mob Doctor garnered a 0.9, also up a tenth from last week's 0.8 adults 18-49 rating.

You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

  • The Old Woman

The Voice ratings falling has led to Hawaii 5-0 and Castle slowly catching upto revolution.

Anyway Revolution sucks. The actors are just horrible. I am surprised that it’s held on so well for so long but of course there’s no accounting for taste considering that folks don’t watch better fare like ‘last resort’

And yes, I am a bitter Last Resort fan.

  • Robo

I just can’t belive such a drop for the Voice. The lowest rated Monday show until now was 4.2 (funny that was actually season premiere) ( 4.2, 4.7, 4.4, 4.6, 4.8, 4.8, 4.3, 4.8, 4.5, 4.4 ). And now suddenly drop way down to 3.7. Seems strange and I would like to know the reason for such a huge drop.

  • eridapo

Per Marc Berman, here are the half hours

    DWTS 2.1 13.28/ 2.4 14.14/ 2.3 14.24/ 2.5 14.66
    Castle 2.1 11.16/ 2.0 9.80

    Bones 2.0 7.04/ 2.1 7.20
    TMD 1.0 3.41/ .8 2.86

    90210 .4 .904/ .3 .662
    GG .3 .701/ .3 .705

    H50 2.1 8.60/ 2.2 8.99

    TheVoice 3.3 10.0/3.6 10.51/ 3.8 10.72/ 4.1 10.94
    Revolution 2.8 7.61/ 7.23 /6.48

  • Hmm

Castle was great last night! I wish total viewers counted for something. Oh well!

  • CrimTV

Exactly just realised that Revolution can’t be that Voice dependent as Voice fell 7 tenths and Revolution was stable.

  • Ateofi

Glad to see h50 numbers go up. I only hope it’s not adjusted down in the finals.

  • Grey

The San Francisco CBS affiliate pre-empted programming for the Mon. Night Football game – 49’ers vs. the Bears. I’m assuming the Chicago affiliate did the same if not a few other markets. So I’m also *assuming* some of the CBS numbers will be adjusted accordingly.

  • Statix

    @ Roswell

Even the best episode of 90210 isn’t better than the worst episode of Bones. That’s what happened.

Too many bad episodes containing bad storylines, predictable plots, bad acting, annoying and stupid characters. People are sick of it. I know I was when I quit last season. Dixon heart problems? (Lucas OTH anyone?). Just lame.

  • Austin Lauran

Does anybody agree that the CBS execs should create their own version of Must See TV on Thursday nights (4 sitcoms and 1 drama)? That’s what NBC did back in the 1990’s when it had a lot of high-rated shows.

  • Jay

The voice still has better rating than Xfactor.

  • Brandy

JohnA ,90210 is still gonna get a final short season, like GG,OTH.
S0303,Beauty’s still not Likley to be renewed.90210 will get a short final season.

  • CrimTV

    @The Old Woman

Why should a bitter Last Resort fan be moaning about Revolution doing well when in no way is it the cause of Last Resort’s cancellation?

  • Seth

The good news for 90210 is that is still the highest rated show on the air with “902” in its title.

  • Hmm

Am I reading correctly that the half hour for Revolution was a 2.3??

  • Laura

Actually Bones was on Thursdays at 8pm for a long time before they moved it to 9 after Idol, so, no, it wasn’t Idol or X-Factor. It didn’t need a lead in and the rating were always between 2.5 and 3.5

  • Justin121

LOL 2 Broke Girl already +2 with no Partner & TaaHM repeat +3 better than new Partners :D

Voice down to the 3’s :(, thought it could make to the end of the season in the 4’s.

Rev down from its frequent 3.0s.

ABC seems inflated & CW down to normal.

  • eridapo

Look at Revolution’s numbers for the half. It lost 5/10 of a point in the demo, and it was within the range of H50 and Castle….

I think after the hiatus, Revolution will be at or below the other two shows.

    Revolution 2.8 7.61/ 2.3 /6.48

  • Roswell

You have to admit though, season 5 definitely blows season 4 out of the water… I hate seeing those numbers, they should announce this season to end so they have time to end it properly

  • Damo

Quite enjoyed revolution last night and glad the rating held instead of dropping.

    @Crim TV

It was pretty good last night including the music selection but you need to actually watch it and understand why in some previous episodes some people might have gotten bored with it but I’m not one and looking forward to next weeks

  • Mary

I don´t watch Revolution, but if CBS numbers adjust down, probably so will H50, and Rev. msy go up…
As for Castle, the demo isn´t very good, but still manages to keep among 10 million viewers every week (I know it´s not the most important, but still shows they have a loyal fanbase)…
