   thanx TZCA, i say this because i never finished high school and never took any type of schooling, classes or college of any type since hs. i’ve only delivered pizza, & even chinese food, selling on ebay, painted houses and some industrial painting, maintenance and a few other lousy jobs but there’s just so much i haven’t done that i should’ve by now. especially since i’m now 35. fun or not, time flys. problem is, i think, after losing my dad at 18 i became stuck in teenager-mode even until almost 30. lots of wasted time and like i said, there’s so much i should’ve done but never did.

   Thanks for sharing. I’m sorry about your dad. I never knew mine, but my gramps stepped in as the father figure. Its good that you can look back and see that there was much more you could have done, but it also sounds like you had alot of character building during that time too. Hopefully your new job works out for and gives you a foundation to build new experiences and skills. Maybe you will have the opportunity to go back and get your GED at some point.

   Check out the Dave Thomas story sometime. He didn’t graduate high school, became a cook at a small family restaurant that was eventually bought by Harland Sanders, becaming a KFC. Dave worked his way up, eventually starting the Wendys franchise. He went back to school to get his GED at 59.

   Life has all kinds of interesting twists.

   much respect for grandparents who step up to such a task of taking care of a grandchild after all the years of raising their own kid(s).
   it been almost 17 yrs now since cancer took my dad when he was 41. the great guy he was, i know life would’ve been so different if he had been around another 10 years or more. but anyway, the job i have is just another lousy job but i’m enjoying it and getting along with bosses/employees, and its nice having alittle extra money in the pocket after paying bills.
   about Dave, i saw roughly the last 1/2 of his biography on either history or cnbc or something. i’ll catch it again from the beginning one of these days.

    Just watching the 5 and not sure who I want to strangle more. The Host, Eric Bolling who constantly tells the false point that Romney got 3 million less votes then McCain(news alert Romney is over 60M with still about 2-4M votes left to count, which is more then the 59.95M McCain got) or Bickle for not calling him out for it.

    Just one of those Fox talking points(ie the lack of votes when not every vote has been counted to this point for either Romney or Obama) to try reason what happened in the election that bugs the hell out of me. While I can see the logic behind downplaying how many vote Obama will get(it’s been a week since I seen the false talking point of Obama got 9M less votes(it’s down to 5M now)), I don’t understand for the life of me why they try to bring Romney’s total down

    It should be pointed out in terms of states that officially certified their votes we only have 13 of 50 states so far, meaning we have 37 states that still have a little counting to do.

    any one notice how Susan Rice looks a lot like she could be the Sister to Obama the Coward ? takes a Strong minded person to Lead and fill the Boots of a Military Solder . Obama take your slippers off and Defend the Stand down orders.. Code of Honor from one older to another .
    why did Hillary tell the family when the caskets of these men came home that she will make sure the film maker would be punished ?
    why was General Ham told to stand down ?
    why would terrorist do such an attack w/o something to get or accomplish ?
    The people of the great USA dont understand why we are doing this . But not to go in after our Men and told to surrender is going to far .
    We need to protect Humanity . But who the hell are we to make deals with terrorist ?
