Junix, HOD premiered to 0.8,Emily Owens to 0.5 .HoD rose to 0.8-0.9&. 2 million viewers in viewers in episode five while EO had baley a million viewers for episode three- 1 million 1 viewers .HoD also never got 0.3 or 0.4 in season one, it averaged 0.5-0.6 while EO has two 0.3, two 0.4s.So HoD had slightly better ratings in season one than EO does in it’s first season.

I worry for NCIS. Currently, I am just under a season and a half behind US CBS viewers. I see that NCIS: LA is catching up in terms of total viewers. As mentioned earlier, I suspect online viewing on all networks’ websites are causing the changes relative to last year along with the impact of CBS Connect etc.
Finally, is NCIS safe if its lead is getting paid so much? Also having just watched CSI: Miami with one episode to go in its final season I can see understand why it was cancelled.

    @ Rebecca

Just came in a little while ago & glad you saw my comment. On my way back out for more “celebrating” Thanksgiving (think I’m getting too old for this). Plan on starting my Christmas displays (inside) on Sat (weather is going to be brutal in the Burgh) & start outside hopefully sometime early next week (weather permitting).

Only watched Nova on PBS & Moonshiners on Disc, wanted to watch AHS @ 11:00, but couldn’t stay awake. I’ve stopped watching a lot of Net’s & am down to probably a dozen or so, but rarely watch live anymore!

Let me know what you think about “Life of Pi.” It’s really a mesmerizing movie & should win buckets of awards. Kiddo should be OK with it & think she will ask more about the message itself as it really is thought provoking. There were several kiddos in the theatre with me & they seemed to be spellbound throughout.

Didn’t see too many 18-24 demo as I’m sure they’re more drawn to Bella & the boys!

@Holly, thanks for the link, but that wasn’t my question. I know all that stuff, the whys, hows. What I want to know is:

    NBC The Voice 3.4 10 9.47
    CBS NCIS 3.0 9 16.47
ABC Dancing with the Stars: All Stars 2.0 6 13.01

So, we have the 3.4/3.0/2.0 18-49 ratings, the 9.47/16.47/13.01 total ratings, but I don’t get what’s the 10/9/6 “18-49 share”. To me, it sounds like they’re being graded. Like, if out of 9.47, they got 3.4, that’s a 10. If out of 16.47 they got 3.0 that’s a 9, but that doesn’t make much sense?

  • Kangarookeeper

@Barbie: The 10/9/6 is the percent share for each show of all 18-49 viewers.

Emily Owens is my girl!! Love that show!! Tugs my heart every week!!

    “Micah Mouse” :(

  • Holly

OK. That’s the share. The rating is the percentage of the total possible audience in that demographic group that watched a show. So a 3.4 means that 3.4% of adults 18-49 watched The Voice. The share is the percentage of people in that demographic who were watching TV at that time and watched that show. So the 10 for The Voice means that 10% of 18-49 year-olds who were watching TV from 8 to 9 pm were watching The Voice. Since not everyone is watching TV, the share is always going to be larger. It doesn’t matter at all as far as I can tell, but it’s always reported with the ratings.

@BJH……actually I think New Girl is bringing itself down. Although there have been some good episodes, over all I think the production effort was better last year. By the end of the season last year it was a damn funny show, I can’t quite put my finger on it, but it’s not quite back to where it was late last year, I must not be the only person noticing. I never buy into the lead in crap anyway. If people like a good show they are going to watch it. People aren’t suddenly going away from New Girl because they don’t like Ben and Kate, which in my opinion is actually a funny show.

  • Jon

@chezmoi…..I wouldn’t be too worried about NCIS……most things take a dip around this time of the year. More people shopping and less tv watching. I fully expect that NCIS will be back around 3.4 or so with 18-20 million viewers in a few weeks.

  • Jon

@ Bobby C……Emily Owens just might end up being one of those sleepers that picks up just enough viewers and steam in the demo each week to stay in the game. Spread the word about the show, word of mouth could save it. I don’t blame people for checking out after the pilot, which in my estimation was it’s worst episode, but the episodes since have been high quality, with this weeks episode being the best.

  • Barbie

Thanks for the explanation, @Holly :)))

The 10 PM time slot on Tuesday night is much weaker than Monday night’s!

  • Mark

The latest predictions were made on Tuesday morning, and, while it may surprise you, I was unable to time travel to this morning to see the 1.5 rating.

Since you apparently seem able to time travel, could you please send me next weeks ratings now?

It would speed things up ever so much!

Wow what a rude and inconsiderate response. I am shocked by your rudeness.

TNN was 1.7 previously, and it was certainly no surprise it continued to drop.

Anyway, this will be my last visit to your site, thankfully I can choose to patronize other sites when the folks running one act in the way you have.
