You can see TV ratings from other recent Overnight ratings reports here.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Once all the gimmicks are over with for “The Voice,” you are just left with a half dozen singers, none of whom will ever be stars. So the ratings start to plummet.

  • Potato

    Look away, LOOK AWAY!!!

  • Charlotte Always

@ Petar Ivanov, it’s Thanksgiving week these ratings were always going to be low.

@ Remote Patrolled, X Factor on thursday will 100% be in the 1’s

  • Andy

Sad to see Parenthood drop. Happy Endings and Don’t Trust the B** were good epsiodes imo. They need to go back onto Wednesday and move the Neighbors and Suburgatory to Friday’s and make a 2 hour TGIF with Tim Allen and Reba’s show. Maybe move Shark Tank to Tuesday at 10 and Parenthood to 9pm on Tuesday.

  • Petar Ivanov

@ What I find interesting is that 43 million people were watching network TV at 8:00, down to 31 million at 9:00, and just 19 million at 10:00. Assuming some of these people are early-to-bed, that’s still a LOT of people who either changed over to cable channels as the night progressed or simply turned off the TV althogether.

ME: as i said NOT even one 9 pm show hit 3.0 and NOT even one 10 pm show hit 2.0 = new reality.

  • Holly

ABC Tuesdays are just sad. DWTS is the only show to top a 1.3? Ouch. And with no new hits emerging from their freshman shows, I’m not sure I see that changing anytime soon.

NBC is doing fine with The Voice and Parenthood. Parenthood’s numbers aren’t good this week, but they’re about what NBC could expect. Right now they have bigger problems to worry about (like their comedies, and Thursdays at 10, and Sundays after football…)

CBS holds pretty steady. Vegas got a bit of a bump, but it’s still bearchow.

FOX’s expanded comedy block definitely didn’t go how they planned. New Girl and Raising Hope are holding on (though not doing great) but Mindy and Ben&Kate are headed toward Mob Doctor territory.

  • Samunto

Anyone remember last season how App. 23 was hailed as the new hit show before it premiered? And this season Mindy was ‘the gem’. Oh please!
Those are very very poor numbers for the Tuesday comedies despite it being Thanksgiving week. ABC which is doing the worst could & should exit the boxring in midseason. I wonder how Shark Tank would do Tuesdays at 9.

  • Rob R

Gregg— What the studies show, interestingly, is that DVR use starts increasing at 10 pm. So instead of watching “Parenthood,” for example, viewers might be playing back “The Voice.” So NBC, in this example, has to face the fact that a 10 pm show like “Parenthood” has to compete with another NBC show like “The Voice” being played back on DVR.

  • Michael

Don’t Trust The B in Apt. 23 should be moved to the Summer schedule.

  • HalCapone

I hope ABC takes some corrective action soon. Happy Endings is the BEST comedy on television. B In Apt 23 is better than most, too. Neither one of these shows deserves such abysmal ratings. Looks like nearly everyone took a hit last evening, 2 days before turkey day which seems kinda odd but I don’t have any history from the previous Tuesday before Thanksgiving.

  • bluejays

Good lord New Girl!! The ratings this year are pretty bad across the board for so many shows, only a few seem to be doing well.

As for ABC – I have no words…..

  • Charlotte Always

@ Rob R, stop being so pedantic. Cassadee Pope her single reached #1 on Itunes and she still is, check for yourself. 4 of their artists are in the top 20. Melanie Martinez is #9.

Cassadee Pope is already a star, Dez Duron has the entire female audience swooning for him and Trevin Hunte is also potentially a star.

  • Dennis

What is going on with NCIS???

  • Katie

Bad night for tv all around. Apt 23 and Happy Endings should be canceled at mid season if ABC has other shows to try as both are flopping. Its sad that Emily Owens’ .4 isn’t even the worst on the CW.

  • Rebecca

There’s so much on Tuesday nights that I like to watch, I wind up not seeing any of it live and just wait until the next day or two to stream it all online. I’m not a Nielsen household so it’s okay.

Many students are off this week….my kiddo has the whole week off while others in the area at other schools are off today through Friday. Some people could be out of town on short vacations. Bingo, probably, I know – but there it is.

  • Nikki

Awesome for Parenthood.. hope it adjusts up though. Lol at the CW shows, terrible terrible.

  • Austin Lauran

Does anybody know what the highest rated episode of NCIS is?

  • JJA

HOD will not get to season 3 with these numbers, but there is still time to improve.

Emily Owens will not get a back 9.

  • Mega64

…Welp. Time to start spamming petitions to TBS to save HE/A23.

  • Petar Ivanov

@ No surprise CBS is going for a 3rd NCIS on Tuesdays.

Well my opinion is that new spin-off is mistake. I mean NCIA LA is droping fast in slot without footbal or big competition. And even NCIA is down a lot. We will see in the end of the year but think new spin-off is mistake. People are already tired of these.
