Can 'Once Upon a Time' Recover This Week?

Once Upon A Time is back this week after taking a break for the American Music Awards. Two weeks ago, Once Upon A Time dropped to a series low 2.7,  possibly caused by big NFL overruns on FOX. The week before, the series scored a decent 3.4 adults 18-49 rating. Can the series rebound this week or is it destined to go lower? Cast your vote and tell us why in the comments!

Liz & Dick (Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton movie) with Lindsay Lohan as star Liz, is on tonight. People will be watching for many reasons.

add that to Tonight big game on NBC NFL Sunday Night Football. Green Bay Packers at New York Giants, both teams draw big ratings.

Once Upon A Time on ABC will be down. 2.6 18-49 rating.

“I tend to agree w/jo in that this show won’t see a third season, or at least a full third season. It’s in a downward death spiral in the ratings and will be below 2.0 by next spring. Stick a fork in it, this turkey is done.”

I´m not sure where do you make up this opinion because it slipped one time down the 3.0?? The weeks before it went up a tenth week by week and the writer of the article is wrong it was a 3,5 in the finals the week before the 2,7. I would just wait. The show is far away of being dead, IMO, allthough i think it won`t bounce back this year again, like last year. The ratings in january and february will be interesting. ;)

“As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!!!” — Arthur Carlson

    Great quote

Classic Line from a classic Thanksgiving episode of TV show WKRP in Cincinnati

saw the show over the weekend, they were showing a lot of classic old Thanksgiving episode of many TV shows, and they were great
TV writers today should take notice on how to inprove their TV shows

To me makes no sense on rating I mean somewhat say its 2.7 then should be that or around that all times…like me I either watch live or dvr but I watch in order, I know some people can watch a episode then skip 5 episodes then go back I can not must be in order I miss one say power goes out I am online within days. So 2.7 to like 1.8 somethings fishy.

Much as I hate the show, I don’t think its indicative. People are probably still watching the boring insipid diabetes inducing thing. Its not really doing so badly other then one week during the holidays. Of course, who knows. But I think it will inch back up.

Your kidding anyone who thinks this show won’t get a third season is nuts. The show is one of ABC’s highest rated shows. For it not to get renewed it would have to score 666 like ratings. The show will rebound probably to a 3.2 or 3.3. OUAT will see a third season and by then if I’m not mistaken it would only need another season to get syndication. So even if by its third season if its bringing in mid 2’s it will get a fourth season.

Lol… Downward death spiral? Really? Before the sudden 0.8 drop, the ratings were really steady in the mid-3.0’s…

Which part indicated to people such as jo and Maya that Once Upon A Time would be cancelled? Was it the part where it’s averaging a 3.3 for the season, the part where it’s lowest rated episode of the year (last week) was still the highest rated non-sports show of the night, the part where the episode before was a 3.5 A18-49, the part where Bubble Watch has it as a “Certain Renewal”, the part where the renew/cancel index has it at a 1.37 (third highest of the network), or the part where the renew/cancel index has 8 shows below it in status, not including the 3 shows that have already been officiall cancelled by ABC?

In other words, stop trolling, it’s pathetic.

I’m speechless lol…What next Walking Dead cancelled by May?

I think some people just write things to rile people up and see how mad they’ll get. Don’t fall for it. They’re just bored and very unhappy in their lives to try to get people upset.

  • jo

Tonight will be the last chance to rebound otherwise the show is already dead with this crappy story lines

  • Barbarossa

Being Thanksgiving weekend I predict it’ll be 2.8-3.0 so up a bit, but not quite usual standards

  • JJA

This season has been awful. I’m not surprised its ratings have dropped.

Revenge isn’t quite as good either this year.

  • SarahL

I hope so. I think that it will. I think 3.0.

  • omabin

last year, the show rebounded big in january, so that might happen again this year. however, i expect some improvement tonight. probably a 2.9

  • Tom

@ Martine You’re really on a roll today. There are very few shows on television that do as good a job at storytelling as OUAT. Another one is Grimm. There are plenty of relatively unimaginative shows to pick from already. However, what’s not required are more cop procedurals, unfunny sitcoms, marathon primetime football games and boring reality shows. The writers of OUAT have put together something really unique and entertaining for once. Let’s hope the network recognizes that.

Once Upon a Time will be renewed for a third season. If the show drops to a 2.0 it will still be renewed. The 2.7 it got the lat time is down 0.1 from the series low of 2.8 it got last season. Once is in no danger of being canceled.
And this season has been really good.

Liz & Dick will be on at 9.
