Let me get it out of the way: yes, I am definitely experimenting with headlining in an attempt to increase page views for reasons explained below. And of course The Walking Dead will be renewed. But Alphas? Its future isn't as bright.
Back again with the scripted cable series renew/cancel status list - no predictions, just the status -- there's no good/easy/reliable way to make predictions with cable shows.
The alpha test of this list went OK and I really appreciate everyone's feedback. For now I'm sticking with it, but alas the traffic wasn't very good.
If it doesn't work out I don't want to hear any "TV by the Numbers never loved that list! They always planned to burn it off! They didn't promote it enough! It had the wrong title! It had a bad timeslot!"nonsense. I love this list and want it to succeed!
We have never gone with the begging style of "please link/tweet/share this post" route. We're data driven and we stick with what we can see folks are interested in. But it can't hurt if you tell your friends and family!

Most of the shows on the list have statuses - if there isn't a status that just means there has been no announcement at the time of the most recent update (see date at top of post and/or above the table below).
If you find errors or omissions (excluding unscripted shows, kids shows or shows that have not aired yet) please note them in the comments and I'll update the table.
Notes:
- Kids shows and Adult Swim shows are not on the list below
- I've seen some squawking about shows on the list below that are owned/created by networks/studios outside of the United States. For purposes of this list, which focuses on U.S. cable networks, I'm only focused on where the shows air here in U.S.
- Shows from overseas like Downton Abbey & Sherlock that air on PBS in the U.S. are not in the list below (PBS is not a cable network), though ITV has renewed Downton Abbey for a 4th season in the UK which will ultimately aire in the states.
- Despite some current inconsistencies in the table below, I do not intend to track episode orders or return dates specifically in this table at this time. The primary goal of the table is: what's been renewed, what's been canceled, and what shows fates haven't been decided yet.

I wonder why AMC hasn’t announced TWD’s renewal yet… I hope they aren’t considering increasing the episode order. I like the two part 16 episode season format and think that’s part of the reason the show has been so successful.

The shows day to day production runner left, so the show has been put on hold until someone new is put in charge.

@JJ I’m sure it boils down to financial negotiations and the people on the show thinking “Hey, we want to be PAID!” It delays the renewal announcement but generally a good problem for AMC to have.
I dont think dexter will end after sseason 8 the rating are really good may be final nine season would be great
If the status of ‘Hell on Wheels’ is on hold, I guess you could say the status of ‘The Killing’ is also on hold, since the Netflix/AMC report looks like the closest we ever had to an actual deal..

If there has been any announcement about a season 5, I haven’t seen it.
If you watched IFC’s Todd Margaret, it’s pretty clear that the series has ended. I feel like I read David Cross somewhere saying it was only ever intended for two seasons, as well. Unless something changed on that front that I missed, I’m fairly certain the status should be that it has concluded.
Wedding Band is looking pretty safe (had 2 airings so far)

I do hope Cinemax moves forward with a second season for Hunted. The last few minutes of the finale this past week was massively confusing to me. One minute she’s shot, the next minute (well, month) she’s elsewhere with a kid. WTF? I assume some things happened between those two times which would be explained in a second season. She also never used the locker key given her by Natalie to find out who Aidan really was…
I also hope Alphas gets renewed despite its fairly low ratings. It’s the best sci-fi show on the air on any network. It makes Revolution look like a Charlie Brown cartoon…
Everything else I watch has been renewed, so I’m otherwise good.

Strike Back has already aired 3 seasons and been renewed for a 4th.

@little_big: yep, it’s a US-centric list so the notations above for Strike Back are from a Cinemax perspective.
In Plain Sight was’t cancelled, USA announced before that the fifth would be the final season.
