Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

^ Long-winded posts are an eyesore. So could you please be LESS specific?

    Thank you.

I really love OUAT but they are pushing it with the cheesiness… I lost count of how many times the “Snow and Charming will always find each other” concept in last night’s episode alone.

    @The Old Man,

Why would the good wife not be able to air at 8?

  • Melissa

Happy to see Once Upon a Time up, but I must admit that I haven’t watched the past few weeks. I don’t know, the show just doesn’t appeal to me the way it did last year. I’ll probably tune in for the fall finale next week, though. I’m sad that The Good Wife is so low, but at least it’s steady. Is there any way it can get renewed with these numbers? I honestly don’t understand how people would rather watch Revenge than The Good Wife – the latter show is phenomenal.

Both Scandal and Nashville have been given full seasons (22 episodes) for this season, but they have such low ratings, it is impossible to know if either will be renewed.

Scandal‘s up-to-date seasonal average is a 2.0, and Nashville‘s is a 2.1 – those numbers are not incredibly low, and neither of the shows are in deep cancellation territory at this point.

    Where is ABC’S schedule for Feb/March ?

  • Mikey

They have 4 dramas waiting for air times. 1 existing Body of Proof.3 new Zero Hour,Mistresses,Red Widow.

  • Melissa

Wow, it’s a pretty good night when each of the big four can manage a 2.0+.

  • r0ckmypants

@SarahL – You never read to the end of my posts, do you?

With at least three dramas ending this year (Private Practice, 666 Park Avenue, Last Resort), it is not currently in danger of cancellation. Scandal has higher ratings than all three of those shows, as well as Nashville. As of right now, it’s in no real danger.

I agree with what you said, but just so you know, Scandal‘s up-to-date seasonal average of 2.0 trails Nashville‘s 2.1. Scandal has been winning recently, though, and the only reason Nashville‘s average is higher is because of its “big” 2.8 premiere.

    @ omabin

    Content, subject matter

  • alexjones

Revenge has gone downhill this season, can’t say i’m surprised people are dropping off. Good to see OUAT recover somewhat.

    Thanks so much!!!

The name the gay guys confuses me as well since Jaymes from The Chippendales is an openly gay male as well.

  • omabin

    @The Old Man,

People over-estimate the whole content thing when related to the time networks will put the shows on. SVU, a show about rapes, is currently at 9. 2 broke girls, how i met your mother have some jokes that would definietely send them to 10pm if that was what mattered. Just to give some examples. It it as 9 now, it can easily go to 8.

  • Ruan

Good for FOX’s animation block. I did miss “American Dad”, though. It’s by far the best of them, but “Family Guy” and “The Simpsons” never disappoint. There’s no better option on Sunday nights than these comedies, IMO. “Bob’s Burgers” and “The Cleveland Show” are OK.

  • CoolRanchDoritos

How does the Chippendale guys names confuse you when both of their names are James one just has a ‘Y’..

Josh & Brent aren’t hard names to remember neither are the goat farmers or the Beekman’s anything besides the gay guys.

Don’t see how its still confusing after 2 months.

  • Kasio

I KNEW revenge would be down.. even I missed the ep :( :( it was a flashback ep that was not very interesting. Hopefully it will jump back up nxt week for sure! REVENGE IS NOT GOING DOWN ;)

  • aciel

@kasio i know even i skipped that revenge episode and i usually don’t miss one episode but for some reason i dont think that there was a need to watch this episode because i knew that it was mainly victorias backstory and how emily met aidan. and if i need to know that stuff i would go online and read about it. i could see why the rating is not good and also because the promo made it sound cheesy.
