TV Ratings Sunday: 'The Simpsons', 'Once Upon a Time', 'The Mentalist' and 'The Amazing Race' Up, 'Revenge' Hits a Low

Due to the nature of live  programming the ratings for NBC (NFL Football), CBS (which was delayed 58 minutes in several major markets due to football overruns) & FOX (Football Overruns)  are approximate and subject to more than the typical adjustments in the final numbers. See below for more information on these Fast Affiliate Ratings.

NBC was number one among adults 18-49 and with total viewers.

On NBC, Sunday Night Football (Green Bay/New York) scored a preliminary 6.7 adults 18-49 rating from 8:30-11:00PM, up  from last week's preliminary 6.0 rating.

On FOX, The Simpsons earned a 3.3 adults 18-49 rating up 38% from last week's 2.4. Bob's Burgers garnered a 2.0, up 11% from last week's 1.8 adults 18-49 rating. Family Guy notched a 2.8, up 8%  from last week's 2.6 adults 18-48 rating. The Cleveland Show earned a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating, up 19% from last week's 1.6 when it aired at 7:30PM.

On ABC, America's Funniest Home Videos earned a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week. Once Upon a Time scored a 3.0 adults 18-49 rating, up 11% from a 2.7 for its most recent episode on November 11 Your predictions were a little optimistic. Revenge garnered a season low 2.2 adults 18-49 rating, down 12% from a 2.5 on November 11. 666 Park Avenue notched a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating even with its November 11 telecast.

On CBS, 60 Minutes scored a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. down from a 3.0 last week when it, and the entire CBS line-up, were delayed significantly by football. The Amazing Race garnered a 2.5 adults 18-49 rating, up 4% from last week's 2.4. The Good Wife earned a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating even with last week. The Mentalist notched a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating up 29%  from last week's 1.4.

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    Very happy for Once but… Revenge :S I am praying that what happened to it as just a fluke, similar to Once Upon a Time two weeks ago and that next week will go back to the 2.7 range where it has been. These 5 tents drops all of the sudden are very strange, I don’t get where they come from.

    Given that Football pretty much Hulks out against any other type of network show, it’s not a shock that Revenge does not do as well against it. However, Revenge tends to outrate any other dramatic series on network tv at that particular time of the evening on a Sunday. ABC is too worried about shows in the 1s and I think they’re perfectly happy with Revenge on Sundays.

    Wasn’t there a football overrun on CBS with the Baltimore Ravens and San Diego Chargers going into overtime? Or was that just my local Baltimore affiliate?

    Revenge will be fine, but still, WTF? Chalk it up to horribly strange promotion and Thanksgiving, I guess. The ep it self was pretty awesome.

    Let’s be honest – this has not been a good season for Revenge.

    Season 1 was so good and this year the show has really stumbled… confusing plots, the Initiative nonsense, Jennifer Jason Leigh, ridiculous voiceovers, Takeda, etc

    The show needs to get back to being a guilty pleasure soap

    I can see why many turned off Revenge. If I hadn’t DVR’d it, I would have skipped it. Had a couple of good moments, but several bad stretches (Nolan, Stowaway) and the Victoria/Mother dinner – was extremely dark and mean. (I could see how that would turn people off. Next week looks good, so I’m sure it’ll bounce back.

    Wow, people really wanted to watch that awful Simpsons episode. Very annoyed at the drop off for Bob’s Burgers. But it is still up from last week and did better than Cleveland so I’m happy. Watch Bob’s Burgers people, It’s ridiculous, hilarious fun.

    *eating popcorn ever so slowly while sipping some cold soda* as I view and laugh at the ever growing list of excuses for the big drop for non-hit REVENGE.

    This place is going to be fun come next week and come spring ratings.

    Even if ratings continue to slide, Revenge is still safe. They would have to get the same ratings as Last Resort and 666 Park Ave. Plus Sunday ratings are always all over the place.

    I don’t think ABC is all too concerned about it.

    If I’m not mistaken, last season’s Revenge flashback episode didn’t do so great either, so I think it’ll probably bounce back up next week.

    Next week is winter finale for revenge. ABC will really promote revenge with plenty of ads. if revenge is 2.2 or lower i will be concerned.

    I did not like the Revenge episode last night and the rating prove how good the spisode was. Cannot understand why CBS and the sponsors agreed to put the Mentalist mostly out of prime time. I went to sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Considering that I enjoy both Revenge and Scandal, I want play both shows against each other. Revenge was good last night, I quite enjoyed it. LOL @ Max,I like Max, he’s too funny!

    Even if Revnege ratings drop, it is not going to save Scandal. Sunday is a different night than Thursday.

    Thursady is way more stable. Due to Football etc, Sunday has more variables.
