Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Expect a drop for Real Housewives of Atlanta too!

“Wasn’t there a football overrun on CBS with the Baltimore Ravens and San Diego Chargers going into overtime? Or was that just my local Baltimore affiliate?”

There was, as Sara noted, a CBS overrun in a limited number of markets, not nationally.

  • Max

Now, all I need is for AHS: ASYLUM ratings so we could see the continuing slide and for SCANDAL to be steady as a rock on Thursday as usual and my week will be complete.

  • Tony ^_^

Lol… People said the “Once Upon A Time” was going to continue falling… Sorry. But you were wrong! :D

  • queenb231985

Can everyone just calm down!!!! I love both REVENGE and SCANDAL!!!! Both are GREAT Shows and hopefully BOTH are renewed come spring time. Stop hating on each other and just respect each other. Its sad to see adults behaving like children!!!!

  • richard

Who is still watching The Simpsons? It has not been good since season 5 ended. And do not get me started on all the Macfarlene drek.

  • Jonathan

Used to love Revenege but I like Scandal more now!

  • Jonathan

Family Guy was hilarious last night! Probably the best one in a long time!! Haven’t watched Bob’s Burgers yet but it is always hilarious!

  • Capitalist Infidel

There’s just so much to watch on Sundays

    Once Upon a Time
    The Border
    The Good Wife
    The Mentalist
    666 Park Avenue
    Boardwalk Empire
    The Walking Dead
    Unusual Suspects

Talk about a cornucopia of great television! I don’t think any other day even comes close

  • CBSViewer

The Good Wife is dead :) Go CSI: NY and The Mentalist !!!

    @ Bill

Welcome to our world! And thanks for the response. Will refrain from TGW babbling in appreciation!

  • richard

I don’ watch either, and probably never will, but I hope Revenge and Scandal both survive for seasons to come (but always on the bubble) so I can read these hilarious comments by Max, and all the people who respond. All of you guys are hilarious. And I’m not being condescending. I think both sides make good points. It is still fun to read though.

ANd believe me, I have been emotionally involved in tv shows. Just none of the shows I enjoy are in danger right now. I miss Awake!

  • CoolRanchDoritos

Why is Revenge getting compared to Scandal. They’re not even the same type of show. Theres no competition either.

I think this Max dude is secretly a Revenge fan & just won’t admit it.

You hate the show & yet you know its the mid season finale. Whats up with that.

  • Kissan

    1. I watched OUAT yesterday and to me, it was a pretty good episode. Definitely lookin forward to next week’s winter finale (a.k.a last episode of 2012.) Does anybody when OUAT will be back in 2013?

    2. I agree with whoever said last nights Revenge episode was boring. I think it was the first time I actually turned the channel. I think Liz & Dick and The Real Housewives Of Atlanta both took audience away from it. Also Revenge was going against their first awards show: The Soul Train Awards. Also it was going against TWD and football. So that’s a lot of reasons.

    3. I watched Liz & Dick yesterday and recorded The Real Housewives Of Atlanta and The Soul Train Awards. It was pretty good. I think this movie took a lot of Revenge’s viewers away as they both appeal to the same audience. Also did anybody realize that TGW didn’t even start at 9:00? It started at 9:58 while TM started at 10:58. Why do they have TGW scheduled at 9:00 if it doesn’t even come on at 9:00?

Rizzoli & Isles returns tomorrow at 9/8c on TNT and Hot In Cleveland premieres Wednesday at 10/9c on TV Land!!!!

  • TomSFBay

Anyone else here think that Max is a freak who needs to get a life?????

    @ CBSViewer

TGW is far from dead. It is the forerunner for low rated dramas being renewed. Now in it’s fourth remarkable season it is very conceivable it could be renewed for severable more.

Not a babble, just a theory.

Can’t wait to see what Cary is up to.

    @ Kissan

Blogging from Pgh, TGW started @ 9:00 here. Go back on the other posts as the markets that were affected are listed. The ep is On Demand now.

it could be renewed for “several” more–sorry

Good numbers for the Amazing Race. Honestly I am really loving this season. Good Riddance Abbie/Ryan who were the biggest egos on the planet. Also why would Brent/Josh even consider waiting for them to finish their second detour. Guys this is a game for a million dollars and u were considering throwing it away for them. They are fourth place but they don’t deserve the million when u even consider doing that. I am all for helping each other out but not racing together and especially being the end of the pack. The Chippendales have great game play and Abbie/Ryan would have done the same. Honestly I can’t stand one MORE SECOND OF THE TWINNIES. I have never in reality TV history have find two more annoying nails on chalkboard contestants on TV. Are they the most annoying shrill contestants ever in reality history? They play cutthroat but I can’t stand them.

  • r0ckmypants

@CoolRanchDoritos – Of course there’s competition. Both are hour-long dramas on ABC; they’re fighting each other for renewal, though at present both are at a level for renewal next season.
