Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    this is sad because max really needs a life. i’m surprised that revenge dropped this much

  • erwan from france

    I’m so happy for Once Upon A Time ! and so sad for Revenge ! Once Upon A Time will begin this saturday 9/8c in France, i’m so glad !!!

  • Josh

    I think revenge will get adjusted up to a 2.5 a lot of people probably recorded it and were busy catching up on some zzz’s after the holiday and shopping.

  • SarahL

    @CoolRanchDoritos

    Why is Revenge getting compared to Scandal. They’re not even the same type of show. Theres no competition either.

    I don’t get it either. It is comparing apples to oranges because they are on the same network. Besides Revenge is far more like Once Upon a Time than any other show.

  • erwan from france

    I’m pretty sure that Revenge will recover, I believe in it !

  • Jonathan

    @kissan

    I liked Liz & Dick too! It for sure took away from Revenege’s audience.

    Thanks for bringing up Hot In Cleveland! I’m super excited about the new season! This one is supposed to be. Full 22 episode season!

  • erwan from france

    Do someone have the half hours ?

  • SarahL

    @r0ckmypants

    No, they are not fighting each other for renewal. Revenge is certain to be renewed. Scandal might not be renewed. If any ABC shows are competing for renewal it is Nashville and Scandal because they are both are low rated shows.

  • lakergirl

    I consider myself a Revenge fan but didn’t watch last nite. I watched RHOA instead and figured I can catch Revenge on In Demand. But the more I think about it, I may not even bother. More and more, Revenge is starting to feel like a chore with all of its confusion.

  • CBSViewer

    Why TVBTN doesn’t publish the international ratings of the shows ? It would be interesting to see how the American shows rate in other countries :)

  • Leondre

    I thought Bob’s Burgers would be doing better in the fall.

  • AA

    Revenge was definitely a filler episode last night, i think they did that on purpose because its thanksgiving weekend and less people would be watching.

  • Danielle

    Now that’s more like it, OUAT. Don’t scare me like that again!

  • aciel

    i think that revenges drop had a lot to do with the fact that it was flashback episode, the promo kind of turned people of, and the liz and dick season premiere

  • larrywitness

    You got to understand that Max is a troll. There are a few times a week his mom lets him out of basement to get on computer. Now he is not very good at being a Troll but thats all he is. Dont feed the Troll just ignore it.

  • aciel

    who is this max guy does he even have a life? because from what i could see is hes probably a 50 year old who lives alone and spends all his time locked up in his room and on the computer. im pretty he has posters all over his rooms saying scandal rules and revenge sucks.

  • CoolRanchDoritos

    But they’re not the only hour long dramas tho. (GA, PP, every other show except the comedies) Renew both, they’re not even on the same night. Make everyone happy (including me). Scandal doesn’t even have full seasons anyways.

    SarahL~ ‘I don’t get it either. It is comparing apples to oranges because they are on the same network. Besides Revenge is far more like Once Upon a Time than any other show.’

    RIGHT!! I don’t watch OUAT but idk about saying they’re alike.

    They keep canceling shows they won’t have anything left.

  • don juan

    no worries. both revenge and once upon a time will be back for seasons 3 and 4. maybe even more. my two favorites :-)

  • Deny

    @CBSViewer

    I can tell you how these shows rate here in Hungary

    OUAT: Around 300 thousand viewers and around 100 thousand viewers in demo
    Revenge: around 300-400K viewers and a 70-100K demo

    these are quite good, actually, considering that they air on a less-watched, smaller network (like the CW in the US)
