'Two and a Half Men' Star Begs the Cancellation Bear to Put Him Out of His Misery

Here's a new twist in actor-fan social media interactions. Two and a Half Men's teen star Angus Jones has released a video in which he refers to his racy comedy as "filth" and tells viewers, "“If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men.” He also says, "I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it." Apparently, his discontent with the show is a part of his newfound religious faith.

Deadline has the video. Warning: it's really long and you have to slog through well over five minutes of Jones discussing his quest to find the perfect church before you get to any of the juicy stuff. This is the first time we can recall an actor on a hit show basically asking for the Cancellation Bear to devour his show. Unfortunately, for Jones, Two and a Half Men is in no danger of being canceled, so if he wants to leave he will have to convince the producers to release him from his contract.

Married with Children and Cheers have 11 seasons.

Either CBS wants newfound buzz for the show, or he wants Sheen-fame.

    Neither will happen.

PS his name reads Angus Burger to me. Every. Time. :D

the show should have been canceled years ago. they turned jake from a loveable underachiever into a pot head, and Alan from a loveable doormat into a deplorable leech. i have no idea what waldon is supposed to be.

The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet lasted 14 years.

Oh, God. You can tell I’m shaking my head right now.
Look, kid. You’re, what, ten? And you’re probably making $500,000 an episode for this “filth”? I wouldn’t be trash-talking it until I had at least a college fund set up, buddy.
Didn’t Sheen go the same way? Soon Mr. Jones will be bragging about his tiger blood and living with two goddesses, and they’ll fire him and replace him with… Hmm. Anyone want to make bets on his replacement? I can’t think of who they could possibly use.

I think M*A*S*H lasted eleven seasons.

Wow, Angus may get fired. Then what? They rename Two and a half men to Two men and a beach house?

People keep saying it should have been cancelled after Sheen left, but isn’t it the 2nd most popular Comedy on CBS? And none of their new series are clicking so 2 1/2 Men is here to stay and rightfully so. (I think the storylines have been better this year than last too…)

Who cares?………..such a bad actor….nobody will miss him. So long

I look at the shows The Old Man listed and I look at Two and a Half Men, (especially after Charlie Sheen left) and I am depressed. Those were (The Simpsons are), classic programs that people will be watching in reruns until the end of television itself. I agree that 2 and a Half Men Should go off the air, because it’s a program that has not survived the lost of it’s lead actor. Charlie Sheen had to go (even he admitted he was out of control at the time), and 2 and a Half Men has got to be brought to a conclusion in May.

Methinks a lot of show “fans” don’t like hearing what has readily been obvious from the start – 2.5 Men is pretty much a dirty-minded wallow that is only sporadically funny.

Why not just cut to the chase and watch some internet porn?

It is “popular” but only in the post-fragmented audience diluted sense.

It is (and has always been) pitched to the lowest common denominator and has succeeded on those terms.

It is *trash* and those in love with it? Pretty trashy too.

But, hey, that describes about 70%+ of television.

Fortunately for Angus he didn’t develop these principles before collecting his lottery pay for a decade.

  • AM Reina

Replace him with another actor. He won’t be missed.

While the show is bawdy I am not bothered by that. I quit watching the show when Charlie Sheen left-can’t stomach Aston. From the commercials for this show, it appears that it got even more “rank” when Kutcher joined the show.
