via press note:

Surging from its first half-hour to its second half-hour, the Monday performance finale of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars: All-Stars won its 8pm time slot and stood as Monday’s most-watched TV program overall for the 7th week in a row, outdrawing NBC’s The Voice in head-to-head competition by 4.7 million viewers. In addition, ABC’s DWTS beat out Fox’s Bones in the hour by 13% in Adults 18-49.

  • · Building week to week in Total Viewers (+12%) and Adults 18-49 (+8%), DWTS hit season highs on both Nielsen measures.

During the 9 o’clock hour against the second hour of NBC’s The Voice and CBS’ original comedies (2 Broke Girls/Mike & Molly), the first part of four 2-part installments of Extreme Makeover: Holiday Edition beat out Fox’s Mob Doctor by 2.7 million viewers and by 8% in Adults 18-49.

  • · The ABC unscripted series marked its most-watched telecast since October 2011 (10/16/11), outdrawing it last 19 telecasts.

  • · EM: Holiday Edition boosted its time period by 2.3 million viewers over original programming on the same night last year.

At 10pm opposite stiff competition from first-run dramas on CBS (Hawaii Five-0) and NBC (Revolution), part 2 of EM: Holiday Edition retained 92% of its Adult 18-49 lead in from part 1.

Please Note: Starting next Monday (12/3/12) for 3 consecutive weeks, parts 1 and 2 of EM: Holiday Edition will air at 8pm and 9pm, respectively.

Good to see that they’re still around! I was starting to think NBC hired the same PR team. I guess they must move from network to network! haha

I wonder if DWTS realized that by having only a one hour show they cut the voting time to two hours and clogged up the phone lines?

Translation.. more old foogies are watching Dancing than the voice… DWTS has about 2 season left max in it.. it’s done..

Nice spin on Extreme Makeover: Holiday Edition – so basically it dropped from a pathetic 1.3, to an even more pathetic 1.2.
