    Yay Once Upon a Time!

So happy for Once Upon a Time. The ratings will rise next week. The show has been a bit erratic in the ratings lately but has performed very well at the same time.

The Good Wife is really scaring me this season. The ratings are bad.I don’t think CBS will take a 1.6 any more. And I doubt the ratings will go back up to the 2.0 it used to get. I really hope that that the show is renewed for a 5th and final season. The show deserves that. Ghost Whisperer was canceled with these levels of ratings, so we will have to see how the rest of the year plays out for the shows ratings.

Couldn’t CBS’ numbers have been affected by late starts for all of their shows? 60 Minutes didn’t start until 7:58 PM, so the whole night was thrown off by almost an hour, at least on the East Coast.

TGW has been a wild card the last two years. CBS holds it to slightly lower standards to reach syndication. CBS will give it another season on Friday. 100+ will be a stronger sell for syndication, especially if the show is still airing. It will be back. Probably for 13 or even 22. Beyond that will depend on how it does next year. Unless it hits much lower. If it pulls a few 1.4s I will think otherwise.

“Couldn’t CBS’ numbers have been affected by late starts for all of their shows? 60 Minutes didn’t start until 7:58 PM, so the whole night was thrown off by almost an hour, at least on the East Coast.”

The NFL overrun was in a number of cities, but it was not nationwide.

@John A- “why are people so convinced CBS will give TGW a final season? CBS Dont really do that.”

    Three reasons….

    1) It’s the only network drama that’s critically acclaimed by the Emmy nominators.

    2) CBS desperately wants to get it a syndication deal.

    3) It’d be a good option for Fridays if they decide to cancel CSI NY (which I believe they will). I honestly don’t see them airing another new drama on that night.

its time for good wife to end gracefully

Revenge will bounce back – not even worried.

  • alffan

Revenge numbers can be affected by the game. Remember, it’s unfair to compare OUAT to Revenge because the former gets half of its show against no football and frankly, football games can start slow.

  • Nick

    Yay for Once!

  • aciel

i wonder why revenge didnt adjust up this time. i’m surprised that it dropped this much last weeks episode was good. i dont know if it was the promo that turned a lot of people off and the fact that it was a flashback episode or the liz and dick premiere.

  • DW

i guess if i can have a theory that amc’s numbers for the walking dead are inflated , i guess people can use the good wife is hurting the shows behind it even though the mentalists numbers are better than the good wife’s theory. :)

  • JC

Shame Revenge didn’t adjust up, but I won’t worry unless this becomes a consistent trend. I think people assumed this was a filler episode similar to the previous OUAT ep. Yay for Once adjusting up! People tuned out last time because ep was Ruby centric.

3.1 for “Once Upon a Time” – exactly as I predicted. This is ABC’s most innovative series and my favorite among everything on television right now. I knew it would bounce back up after the Holiday. Thanks also to the producers for listening to the feedback and softening Evil Queen Regina. She was completely loathsome for all of last season with no reason to like her, and now with her more evil Mother as the “backstory” now, there are actually likable elements to Regina now. This has done much to save the entire series, IMO. I’m just not sure how successful it has been keeping Snow White and Emma trapped in the blighted homeland. It’s nice to see that it survived, since the whole town obviously will probably be heading back there in the finale some day, but if the show is going to go over there, it should resume nice flashback stories as to how each fairy tale character used to live and link it back to their Storybrook lives as was so successfully done last year. The fairy tale aspects and their twists on dogma are when this series is at its most entertaining. Get back to more of that, please!

As for “Revenge,” some disappointment with its 2.2, but as long as it remains in the 2’s, it will be fine. Time will tell….

“Revenge numbers can be affected by the game.”

It’s a female skewing show so no.

TGW is now in Vegas territory (ONO) & may be cause for alarm. Will have to see what Jan-May brings, being optimistic here.

“Revenge numbers can be affected by the game.”

It’s a female skewing show so no.

Ever heard of the men in the house taking all TVs and leaving no free TV for the women in the house during a game?
And when my husband brings his friends over to watch the game I prefer to go out with my girlfriends and DVR my shows than to stay at home and listen to all their noise.. so female skewing, not female skewing, it doesn’t matter. All shows can be impacted by these games.

  • Nick

@Jenny. Great point. I also thought it was an espisode outside the story line and that was the furthest thing from the truth. Promos focused on Victoria having dinner with “her men”. Hoping ratings get a boost after SNF ends.

  • josh

dog with a blog had series low 2.6 million marvin marvin probably had like 3.0 but its stupid and victorious maybe had over 2.9 its just getting stupider and big time rush lets just say that nick is on drugs i predict 2.5 a

TGW was so steady but they fell this week.I hope they will rebound next week. Please don’t compare it with vegas this is a four year old show and it didn’t get a season premiere as high as vegas’ series premiere. being steady is the important part here and i hope cbs won’t cancel it. It’s the most critically acclaimed show on broadcast tv and cbs doesn’t have that kind of tv shows anymore.
