Last night’s Monday Night Football game (Panthers/Eagles) was simulcast on the NBC affiliate in Charlotte. As a result, the NBC numbers may be inflated  and subject to more than typical adjustments in the finals.

NBC was number one with adults 18-49, and with total viewers.

On NBC, The Voice earned a 4.2 adults 18-49 rating, up 14% from last week's 3.7 adults 18-49 rating. Revolution scored a 2.9 among adults 18-49, up 12% from last week's series-low 2.6. Your predictions were a little pessimistic.

On CBS, How I Met Your Mother earned a 3.4 among adults 18-49, up 17% from last week's 2.9. 2 Broke Girls scored a season high 4.0 among adults 18-49, up 18% from last week’s 3.4. Mike & Molly earned a season-high 3.6 adults 18-49, up 24% from last week's 2.9. Hawaii Five-O notched  a season-high 2.3 adults 18-49 rating, up 5% from last week’s 2.2.

On ABC, the one hour Dancing with the Stars performance finale scored a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating, up 8% from a 2.4 for last week’s two hour episode but down 26% from a 3.5 for last fall’s performance finale. The season premiere of  Extreme Makeover: Home Edition earned a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating down 7% from a 1.4 for its previous season finale on Friday, January 13, 2012. A second hour of the show earned a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, way down from Castle’s typical performance in the time period.

On FOX, Bones scored a 2.3 among adults 18-49, up 15% from last week's 2.0. The Mob Doctor garnered a 1.2, up 33% from last week's 0.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On the CW, 90210 earned a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating, up 25% from last week's 0.4. Gossip Girl scored a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    ” we talk about “end of the world” and december 2012?
    There are a lot of theories about why Revolution is successful but this one is insane. I don’t know a soul talking about or even thinking about 12/21/12.
    The Mayan calender maker simply got tired. Period. End of story. :-)
    —-
    You took my sentence out of context – I wrote that the show had interesting premise, especially now when people do talk about end of the world. I’m not fan of any such theories as I hope to live a little longer than till 21.12.2012 :)

    Yay for HF-0 !! I didn’t see the perp’s motive coming at all, so it was great to be surprised.
    I hope CBS realizes now, that they were stupid to change the Monday comedy line-up, though HF-0 still belongs on Tuesdays.

  • The End

    Speaking of Revolution, cast your minds back to about half way through Mondays episode, I bet most people were dissapointed that what’s his name didn’t pull the trigger when Charlie offered to be the one shot. I bet there would of been genuine cheering in many households had that scene played out the way most people wanted.

    @sarah
    H50 does improve after checking dvr numbers – it gains 0.9-1.0 in the demo and ca 3 million viewers – please see the link below:
    http://alexoloughlinrocks.com/career/tv/hawaii-five-0/hawaii-five-0-season-3-nielsen-ratings
    As for demo, clearly sitcom is no longer a good and compatible lead-in to an action show. I guess, Tuesday 10 pm would be better as H50 had a crossover with NCIS LA and it successful combination.

  • John

    @The End: Charlie was awesome in that scene and continues to redeem herself. I think Monroe was impressed by her will and determination.

  • voice of reason?

    Wow – just don’t get what Alex O’Loughlin did to make so many people hate him….jealousy maybe??

  • The End

    @I think Monroe was impressed by her will and determination.

    He seems to think absolutely nothing of them, and see’s them as a means to an end so I’m unsure there.

  • joel

    @ ” ’2 Broke Girls’, ‘Mike & Molly’ & ‘Hawaii Five-0′ Hit Season Highs ”

    Because DWTS ended an hour earlier and ABC lost half it’s audience. Also no need for CBS to find a new sitcom for 8:30pm; nothing would be able to do better than TBBT repeats.

  • ateofi

    @voice of reason?
    Wow – just don’t get what Alex O’Loughlin did to make so many people hate him….jealousy maybe??

    it’s not “so many people” – just 2 or 3 persons and they are the same ones spilling venom every monday.

  • Charlotte Always

    The Voice singles doing very good this year. Cassadee Pope reached the #1 position on Itunes last week and has the #2 this week. Melanie Martinez at 4. Nicholas David was also in the top 10 for a moment. Cassadee’s other single is still in the top 20.

    Also interesting to note that 50 cent who seemed irrelevant the last couple of years has a #1 hip hop/rap single right now and #7 overall after debuting the song live on the Voice yesterday.

    I too have always thought HF0 needs to be on another night. And, not only the perp’s motives but how bad ass is Mama McGarrett – now we know why Steve is the way he is!!

  • Marge

    @ateofi

    those DVR numbers haven’t changed any though for H50 so that’s not good because you’re still losing your live audience and still retaining the same DVR numbers it had when it had more LIVE viewers. There’s no improvement, just loss. Again, it’s not the viewership #s that are important but the demo isn’t good either.

  • CrimTV

    Changing the subject a bit, but, when will ABC announce their mid-season schedule, it’s getting into December now!

  • charlotte mustain

    I am excited to see that hawaii 5-0 had 10 million people watching last night. the show is getting better every week. the people who used to watch revolution are now watching H5-0. Alex O’loughlin is a very good actor. he can be serious or he can be funny. not to memtion he has a killer smile.

  • kevin

    Revolution :D :D

  • John

    @Charlotte: Castle didn’t air, you know? Both Revolution and H50 were up this week.

    Is there any chance that HIMYM will end this season? I really want Cobie Smulders to join SHIELD next season.

  • Dan

    @Bill, True, its obvious the Mob Doctors numbers doesnt mean anything at this point but I personally never though the series would go back up to a 1.0 rather a 1.2. After December 3, 9 episodes will have aired with an original scheduled for January 7 and January 14. One has to wonder where FOX will schedule the other two to be burned off.

    FOX is in bad shape this year, X Factor, Bones, Fringe, Glee, and Kitchen Nightmares are down considerably, the animated comedies are about the same maybe slightly lower from last year and all the freshman shows are flops. Maybe The Following can save FOX but probably not. There’s always next season.

  • Dan

    Actually with the Fringe finale on January 18 and Touch premiering on February 1, My guess is FOX will schedule two Mob Doctor episodes on Friday January 25 to be burned off, bu to stay classy they will call it a two hour season finale, so they dont have to officially cancel the show until May.

  • Justin121

    Mob Doc jumped +0.3.

    If it does that again (and again) it’ll be renewed.

  • Sarah

    @Ateofii

    The NCIS LA/ H50 crossover proved that NCIS viewers didn’t follow Hawaii 50.
    Why do u think CBS is going with a NCIS LA spin off when they could place h50 there. ? Because they know H50 would get even worse results on Tuesday, no way it would be getting a 3 6 lead in there.
    And they tried that in Australia and they had to move H50 away from NCIS LA after a few episodes because it was killing NCIS LA. They aired the crossover in a 2 hours special, viewers left for the first part, the H50 part, and came back for the second part with NCIS LA.
    NCIS are better shows that H50. They don’t match and CBS knows that.
