Last night’s Monday Night Football game (Panthers/Eagles) was simulcast on the NBC affiliate in Charlotte. As a result, the NBC numbers may be inflated  and subject to more than typical adjustments in the finals.

NBC was number one with adults 18-49, and with total viewers.

On NBC, The Voice earned a 4.2 adults 18-49 rating, up 14% from last week's 3.7 adults 18-49 rating. Revolution scored a 2.9 among adults 18-49, up 12% from last week's series-low 2.6. Your predictions were a little pessimistic.

On CBS, How I Met Your Mother earned a 3.4 among adults 18-49, up 17% from last week's 2.9. 2 Broke Girls scored a season high 4.0 among adults 18-49, up 18% from last week’s 3.4. Mike & Molly earned a season-high 3.6 adults 18-49, up 24% from last week's 2.9. Hawaii Five-O notched  a season-high 2.3 adults 18-49 rating, up 5% from last week’s 2.2.

On ABC, the one hour Dancing with the Stars performance finale scored a 2.6 adults 18-49 rating, up 8% from a 2.4 for last week’s two hour episode but down 26% from a 3.5 for last fall’s performance finale. The season premiere of  Extreme Makeover: Home Edition earned a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating down 7% from a 1.4 for its previous season finale on Friday, January 13, 2012. A second hour of the show earned a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating, way down from Castle’s typical performance in the time period.

On FOX, Bones scored a 2.3 among adults 18-49, up 15% from last week's 2.0. The Mob Doctor garnered a 1.2, up 33% from last week's 0.9 adults 18-49 rating.

On the CW, 90210 earned a 0.5 adults 18-49 rating, up 25% from last week's 0.4. Gossip Girl scored a 0.4 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week.

Definitions:

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Happy to see 90210 up!..i love that stupid show!

  • http://tvbythenumbers.com Bill Gorman

“Ironically Mob Doctor rising will keep it from being yanked despite the fact that it will be cancelled.”

Nah, last night’s numbers are irrelevant. Once Fox kept it on in Nov, it was going to air 13 eps regardless.

    @ Reverse Bingo Card time!
Why were ratings up so much?

    Crappy MNF Game
People wanted a relaxing Monday after craziness of Thanksgiving week.
    Big Bang Theory!

  • Nope

    great for FIVE-O

  • Greg

How many episodes did FOX order for The Mob Doctor? The usual 13?

  • Mon

H50 did meh, not great or well.

  • Ali

I find it very suspicision that practically every single network is up by at least 10-15%…is this normal?

  • Monica

Thank you for the info, but you’re only mentioning CBS (and yes, I understand how the ratings work). For the sake of the argument, let’s look at NBC on Monday…the same 1.3 difference is between The Voice and Revolution. Furthermore, it is impossible to say whether another show will do any better in H50’s spot when they are hardly pulling the same numbers on a less competitive night!

Let’s wait for the final numbers tonight and see how things pan out.

  • meah

LOL!!@monica et al why are u so pressed about H50’s numbers.u don’t watch the show so why would u spend minutes thinking about it.its doing well for a 10pm show, whether u like it or not!I don’t get why grown ass people spew hate for shows they don’t watch..act maturely please.YAy for CBS

  • Mike

Lmao @ 2 Broke Girls getting that high of a rating. Just tells you how stupid America has become. That show is painful to watch. The opposite of funny and the girls are both a 6 on a scale of 1-10.

  • Petar Ivanov

Happy for RVN finale. Great show. I said before the season that will be one of top 3 new shows(with Elementary and 666 – opssssss) but never expect that will beat H5O and Castle 10 week in a row. H5O was best CBS 10 pm show and Castle best ABC 10 pm show. Monday is too good with so many good shows. Networks must make some changes pleaaaaaaaaaase. Tuesdays and wednesdays are full with bad shows.

  • aiden

the voice 12 millions and lotus sales flop and flop and flop! yes the voice win over x factor this season get over! but britney’s music is still in top and chistina’s music is a flop!!! this week x factor is going rises!!!

  • Jared

2 Broke Girls killed it last night!..one of the funniest shows on television.

  • Ali

    @ Mike

I think rating a girl on a scale of 1-10 is the stupidest thing to do really. before judging the american audience, point the finger at yourself first!

  • Damo

All I can say I hope these 4 months or so go pretty quickly because I really enjoyed the fall finale of revolution and the awkward family reunion it was epic and glad it went up as well. Glad everything is up with CBS and the Big Bang repeats so well.

    @Crim TV

You really need to watch revolution your missing out on one pretty decent series

  • Brian

Great ratings for Revolution! It will adjust up in the finals :)

  • Brandy

Yay 2 Boke Girls,90210 up!Wow @ 2 Broke Girls,it’s been a while since we’ve seen ratings that high for it.

  • OMG

2 Broke Girls is really funny! It should at least receive an Emmy nomination for Best Comedy, if not winning outright! I always cannot get why people hate laugh tracks! Laugh tracks make things a lot more funny. Sometimes I don’t get the joke but then the laugh track came on and it became funny! Unlike those non laugh-track sitcoms where most of the jokes came out and you started thinking is this the time to laugh? And when you occasionally laugh it is so awkward because you are the only one laughing!

It is time to bring back REAL sitcoms and I am so glad with CBS with TBBT, 2 Broke Girls! Honourable mention: Whitney, even though it is on NBC. Also, I think the Neighbours would have been more funny with a laugh track!

  • Rebecca

Glad I caught up on RVN in time for its fall finale….just finished watching it – great episode. Only other thing I watched was HIMYM.

  • Petar Ivanov

Bill can you please be honest and tell us from now will this thursday have a poll – will TBBT hit 6.0 in demo? Thanks.

ps Also wich is best demo rating for TBBT series. THanks onceagain.
