Sons Of Anarchy was the night's top cable program with a 2.3 adults 18-49 rating from last week's 2.2. Most of you who voted in our poll were too optimistic. Dancing with the Stars beat it with a 3.0 from 10-11PM. Tosh.0 was the second-highest rated cable original with a 1.3 adults 18-49 rating, even with last week.
We only receive the top 100 cable shows for adults 25-54 for the whole day from our primary source, if you don't see your show it was not in that top 100 list.
The list below is long but you can use your browsers "find on page" feature (usually CTRL+F or CMD+F) to search for specific shows.

Impressive for Flipping Out Season Finale… not so for Million Dollar Decorators which missed the list with a great lead in….
LMAO at the fanboys who thought SOA would beat DWTS.
I’ll be interested to see Leverage’s numbers in two weeks when it is not going against Sons Of Anarchy.
TNT really didn’t help it by bringing it back against Sons of Anarchy when it had two episodes left.
Ink master and tattoo nightmares is unstoppable on spike yeeeeeeah!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tnt did not do any favors to Leverage or Rizzoli and Isles. R and I was against Dancing with the Stars finale and NCIS LA. That is a killer for even a good summer show like R and I.
Damn, Big Bang Theory is a BEAST in syndication!
Yikes, Leverage didn’t do that good.
‘LMAO at the fanboys who thought SOA would beat DWTS.’. That should be more LMAO at the fact that idiot America would rather watch rubbish like DWTS above a quality written and brilliantly acted drama series
I was dead on with SOA & I’m super impressed w/ TBBT taking #2-5
See Alaska, TLF w/0.4. Those people eat bear meat & store their freezers with it to get thru the harsh winters.
@Jim
No, the problem is that people don’t watch TNT during the regular season, apart from sports. Leverage got similar ratings when it was on Sunday for its winter run. R&I did about the same as last year and just a bit worse than The Closer last year.
Last year they had NFL competition, which crashes everything.
The real problem is that TNT shows suck because they are too middle of the road, too procedural and hence too similar to CBS cookie cutter shows. It’s obvious that being the difference so little, people who watch these kind of shows watch CBS shows when they are on.
Give people edgier cable shows and people will watch it no matter the competition. That’s why people choose cable.
At this point Major Crimes did better in October against broadcast competition and NFL.
On a side note, when TBBT repeats get the numbers they get at 9 and 10, you know the problem is only the shows themselves.
Thanks silvit. Do you think TNT will cancel R&I after they air season 4 in summer of 2014 since it did so bad last night then? I did not realize that was horrible ratings for cable. Leverage will probably be cancelled now then as it was way worse.
Summer cable shows (like Covert Affairs & Rizzoli/Iles) always fare worse against fall/winter network competition. Fans need not worry about R&I. It’s TNT’s (normally) highest rated drama. Also, it should go up now that more people will find out it’s back on.
Summer 2014? Did you mean summer 2013?
As I wrote in the post about their return some weeks ago, I highly doubt the winter ratings will have any great impact on their decision to renew a show or not. Otherwise a show like Leverage should have been canceled 2 year ago (it got the same 0.5)
TNT always had shaky ratings in the winter for its originals, especially in the last 2-3 years (some years ago they were far competitive).
If anything, this only diminishes the perceived power of a show which in reality does good only when there is nothing else on. We will have to see if the viewers will come back in the summer, which is something not certain for a show in its 4th season. keep in mind that this past summer its ratings were worse than the previous summer. It doesn’t speak doom, but it doesn’t speak great (FYI, I don’t watch either show, too meh and CBS-ish for me, so it’s not an opinion based on current plots on the shows, but at the end of the day they just are just crime procedurals and nothing more).
They will cancel it only if its summer ratings will be bad.
Leverage has the advantage of having a syndication deal in place, so I think that the most probable outcome is to have a shorter, maybe only in the summer, final season.
I think this only will push TNT to shy away from same old same old procedurals and try to find something different, since they aren’t working anymore, as seen this summer too (Perception, Major Crimes not doing great, F&B)
@BJH
That only supports my theory that we should wish good luck to Dallas in January given its already so-so ratings of the summer.
While you are right, keep in mind that R&I now its doing worse than the Closer last year, a 7-year show which was already fading and had much bigger competition at that time(DWTS, TAAHM,2 Broke Girls,NFL)
While Covert Affairs did so-so in its winter run, its summer ratings weren’t good either.
This year in the summer neither WC nor CA gained back the viewers they lost during the 2011 winter run.
I fear – not quite, since to me they are crap
- the same can happen for the TNT shows.
Extreme Couponing not ranking anymore.
Rizzoli and Isles also premiered to a winter at a 0.8 last year. So it is quite expected. Plus it is up against a CBS procedural which you know will take up a lot of the procedural viewers as well as DWTS which will take up a lot of its female audience. Considering last year it has the Closer lead-in and this one without, it is doing okay.
The R&I episode wasn’t all that exciting. The whole “Tommy’s baby” thing isn’t terribly interesting, although it might be to female viewers I suppose. I’m still waiting for the two leads to do the “L” word – that will explode the ratings.
The Leverage episode wasn’t that exciting either compared to the two episodes that aired for the summer finale – those two were amazing.
This season Leverage doesn’t appear to have much of an overall story arc or continuing villain as did previous seasons. The writing is still excellent, but there’s something missing.
@OMG
Yes, but it was against NFL, Castle (procedural with female skewing), Hawaii 5-0,another procedural, which was doing very good last year.
This year the competition is much lower. We said many times that Tuesday is not a strong night for broadcast tv.
@Colin
And this is bad news how?
Anyway, these are the ratings (I add the R&I and Leverage NOT rounded numbers. Note that in reality R&I didn’t get a 0.8 but a 0.76, which is a far cry from its full 1.3 of some months ago):
Extreme Couponing (10:00) – TLC
0.876 million viewers, #16; 0.454 million adults 18-49 (0.4 rating), #17
Extreme Couponing (10:30) – TLC
0.832 million viewers, #18; 0.474 million adults 18-49 (0.4 rating), #16
Rizzoli & Isles – TNT
3.436 million viewers, #2; 0.966 million adults 18-49 (0.8 rating), #5
Leverage – TNT
1.914 million viewers, #6; 0.643 million adults 18-49 (0.5 rating), #12

@Richard Steven Hack
Given the ratings it got, it wasn’t all that exciting for the female viewers either.
Based on what you wrote, the B story of the episode (other than the tired crime of the week) was about a secondary character (since his name is not in the title) having a baby. Ouch!!! How were they thinking it would have gotten them ratings? And again and again, babies are show killers. When writers will get that?
(too bad Nadine isn’t posting anymore
)
And Richard, if you expect to see “racy” scenes on TNT you will be highly disappointed. Especially in a innocuous procedural which already put babies in the mix. TNT is not FX, AMC, HBO or SHO. It’s the CBS of cable.
And when a “L” scene has ever generated a spike in the ratings? It certainly didn’t do it for The Good Wife. The web is already full of those scenes.
They certainly are racier than what you’ll ever get on tv, especially on TNT.
Thanks. If it had a 0.4 rating, why wasn’t it on the list? Hope it gets renewed, love Extreme Couponing. Also, wonder how Fringe ratings do on Tuesdays. Wished you guys had a Saturday night cable ratings
