NYPD Officer Lawrence DePrimo, who became an Internet sensation after buying a pair of boots for a homeless man, gives his first television interview to CBS News Senior Correspondent John Miller. An excerpt will be broadcast tonight, Nov. 29 on the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY (6:30-7:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. The full interview will be broadcast tomorrow, Nov. 30 on CBS THIS MORNING (7:00-9:00 AM).

 

Officer DePrimo purchased the shoes for a barefoot, homeless man while he was on patrol in Times Square on Nov. 14. A tourist from Arizona took a photo of DePrimo putting the shoes on the man’s feet and later posted it on the New York Police Department’s Facebook page.
