@ aiden
Probably that’s why Will.I.Am & Britney’s new song hit #1 – because it’s mostly a Will.I.Am song. Neither Britney nor Christina are as relevant as 10 years ago, that’s clear for everybody.
I didn’t watch Supernatural last night because I knew from previews that it was going to be a Cas heavy episode. I guess, I wasn’t alone.
@ Oliver
So even though they haven’t found a hit after 4 years they should still keep burning through that time slot? Why not take notes from CBS and try sticking with a show and let it grow. Stability seems to work
SPN may not be in danger of cancellation this season, but the CW will have the angriest army of fans if they cancel it after nine orten seasons on a cliffahanger.
I suggest they announce an end date, either May ’14 or ’15.
Suburgatory is doing better than Happy Endings.
Give it a rest, Desperate Endings fans.
Oh, and I quit SPN because of the awaful Castiel character was shoved down our thorats as a third lead. Like Bobby wasn’t enough. Ugh. And after the show was primarily Sam-centric for (its best) two years it opt to fan-girl-loved Dean, and Castiel after that, at the expense of story telling. Thanks, but no thanks.
@Mary Eliza
I can think of seven shows on the CW that are a lot closer to the Cancellation Bear than Supernatural right now. If, by “close to the end,” you mean, “Probably has two or three seasons left in it,” you’re probably right. If you mean, “This is it’s last season,” the Ratings Gods do not favor you.
I bet Supernatural will outlast Nikita by at least a season, even if the network does choose to suffer through two more seasons of basement ratings to get a syndication number with Nikita.
@Carli
Unless you had a Nielsen Box, nobody important noticed whether you watched or not.
@ Justin121
You may think the first two seasons are Sam-centric, but the fact is Dean had more screen time than Sam in both season one (marginally) and two (significantly).
Arrow for the win!
I wish the last two seasons will re-shift the focus back to Sam and go out with the bang they always teased but never delivered.
Then I might give it a try.
I need season 2-like quality.
@Justin121
Oh, boo-hoo. Just because most of the audience likes to have other characters besides Sam get to do important things in the story, too, doesn’t make those fans stupid. He’s one character and he isn’t even the most popular one on the show. It was smart of the show to move away from Kripke’s Sam worship toward developing other characters.
The show is not ending any time soon. Wishing it dead will only serve to irritate other fans. You do not possess magic powers of show cancellation. Sheesh.
@thesnowleopard
Obviously people with Nielson boxes didn’t look forward to Cas either. How about you take a chill pill and let other people have their opinions in peace from you rambling.
@Eric_Philly
I know! Arrow’s having a really good fall, isn’t it? Hopefully, it will maintain that in the spring.
@Carli
How about you get over yourself and stop assuming that your personal preferences somehow magically influenced the ratings last night? The show’s minor slump (It wasn’t even their worst rating of the season) can be easily explained by the fact that it was coming back from a mini-hiatus and frequently posts somewhat lower numbers post-Thanksgsiving before it ends for the Christmas hiatus.
This is a ratings site, not a fan site, so nobody gives a toss about your irrelevant fanhate of this or that character. Besides, everyone knew Castiel would be back in 8.06 and that episode got a nice, high rating. So, there goes your theory that he’s a drag on ratings, huh?
@thesnowleopard
You are the one jumping all over anyone that doesn’t agree with you about anything. Like I said that a chill pill and grow up.
I don’t care about screen time, but the story was clearly about “special boy” Sammy.
Survivor! *applause*
@thesnowleopard
I don’t see you all over the people in this thread that said the rantings are bad because of Sam flashbacks. Be a little less biased next time. lol
@ Justin121
Yeah, Samnatural was about our Super Special Snowflake Sammy Sue. What a shocker.
@thesnowleopard,
I guess you I know have different understanding / expectations of story and storytelling…
“Kripke’s Sam worship” was the story… as, you know, he created the show.
I’m not wishing it dead NOR ending “soon”. What I’m “wishing” is a satisfying and appropriate conclusion and a shot in the arm rather than limping through the finish line with a whimper for the sake of the fans who’ve stuck with the show 8-10 years.
WOW! In total viewers XFactor is getting creamed. Considering the judges talet they should be . . .
@Carli, do you know who you’re talking to? (@thesnowleopard) One of the most well known Sam haters, so it’s pretty useless to continue discussion! I don’t have a Nielsen box either but from promos and sneak peeks I thought that the episode would be Cas-centric. I did watch it though and I found it very good. In fact I was pleasantly surprised by it! But I really need to see the focus going back to the bros though!
Oh, and for haters who say that the show is near cancellation or should be cancelled or -bwa ha ha- get rid of the Winchester brothers, THE WINCHESTER BROTHERS ARE THE SHOW! And from what I see they won’t be going anywhere for at least one more season after that, so, as Dean would say, suck it!
