@1966
I might be right but people watch all those shows for their news. Most of the people I know treat Colbert and Stewarts show purely on how it’s meant to be watched, as entertainment while most of the people I know that watch Oreilly and Hannity watch it to get their “news” and go parading around thinking like they actually know the news (like the fake story and misconstrued Obamaphone that those two were touting around.)

but then again jon stewart and colbert are not news shows.
Really? Marks 2?s “joke” went right over your head if you didn’t realize what he was getting at when he pointed that out. Hillbilly always points out when Bill O or Hannitys “news” shows pop up on that list….yet they aren’t “news” shows either. If you are going to point out Hannity’s and Bill O’s entertainment non-news shows when they are on that list, you should point out when The Daily Show and The Colbert Show also pops up on there.
———————-
I “point out” when cable news (*not comedy central) shows make the list. I even post when on rare occasions MSNBC is the only cable news show on the list.
*I point out when The Daily Show goes over 2 million P2+ viewers.
Haven’t found a reason to post Colbert’s numbers. He has the same numbers he’s always had.

ApplesStinx – It is going to be the norm for a while. So that you stay busy, I found you a job as body-double in ‘Wipeout’.

I was to good & they wouldn’t let me be a contestant. As for the norm on cable news not making the list…that’s why I been getting the top 25 prediction right lately.

what’s wrong with you hillbilly don’t you know mark2 is right LOL
———————————
Yea i know.
He thinks it’s a great accomplish for The Daily Show & Colbert Report to beat cable news shows in the 18-49 demo too.
@Faith3
Hiya stuck-up.
BTW Your alimony & child support checks haven’t arrived yet..whats up with that? Don’t tell me their in the mail. You keep misbehaving & I won’t take you to 1966′s mansion.

Mark2,
Was thinking more about your post – not sure if you were just referring to social issues or all issues. That writer I posted mentions he is a D but definitely takes an anti-D view. I am not sure if his facts are wrong, I did look up Sen Sargeant, he was a R but could not find if he was conservative as writer says. I do not want to take his word as gospel.
This is what a useless president does
@lbsles
Your URL has an extra ‘http//’ (the second).
@hillbilly
thats ok I have sara and amanda as my date.
@red bar soup
I know there are people on this board that take hannity and bill o as news.
I’ve made three posts that don’t get put on this board. I don’t use profanity. What’s that story?
My one-liner last post I made got put on this board. but I did three other posts and they didn’t get put up. Interesting. This board might have the same policy as MSNBC, which is you can’t say anything negative against the government.
@BevAG
I’ve never seen that kind of censorship here. Change the wording or post in installments to see where it’s getting caught by the filter.
How the demos are counted.
People 2+ – 1.0 = 2.894
Adults 18-49 – 1.0 rating = 1.265 million
Adults 25-54 – 1.0 rating – 1.187 million
Might help Jayson figure out who is watching & their age. With the overlap of 18-49 & 25-54 its probably hard to get solid results.
The highest (non debate non election coverage) 18-49 I’ve saw in the daily cable ratings for a cable news show is .05. That means around 632,000.
Need your Poll fix? Go here & take the poles. For those not familiar with the shows copy Nick’s picks.
AppleStinx tries to beat me, but just never seems to be able to.

“WTF Sara are you censoring me? I posted two comments that were not posted.”
“There is certain words that get censored. I know for instance if I spell ab0rtion correctly my post doesn’t get posted. I also find my post getting deleted when i post certain websites(legit news ones like NBC, CBC, ABC, Fox)”
To clarify, the spam filter traps certain words automatically. Mostly obscenities, but not exclusively.
It also traps comments with more than 1 URL every single time. Multiple URLs being highly correlated with spam.
It also traps comments it *thinks* are spam. Some single URL comments trapped are likely in this category. Perhaps certain word combinations, likely very lengthly comments. It’s sort of a black box, mostly out of our control.
It’s all “automatic”, we get thousands of comments a day and don’t have remotely enough time to do anything manually.
From Wednesday’s ratings.
@Hillbilly
I thought that your oft-wrong predictions were automatically trapped by the filter under “obscenity”.
@Bobby
“Prior to the formation of the conservative coalition, which helped realign the Democratic and Republican party ideologies in the mid-1960s, the Republican party historically advocated classical liberalism, paleoconservatism, and progressivism.”
The civil rights act was the major turning point. This is the period when the Parties basically switched sides. The Democratic Party would now become the Liberal Party and the Republican Party would now become the Conservative Party.
Mark2,
Good discussion, thanks for the info
