    Re: Last Resort — I’ve given up on ABC. Just about every new show I’ve liked on the network over the last 10 years has been cancelled the first season (except for V which lasted a whole 22 episodes over 2 seasons). I guess the shows I like aren’t estrogenny enough to survive on ABC.

    Jamie,I’m sure OhSit and Breaking Pointe will be summer shows again along with ANTM as MP wants more original programming instead of reruns .”soon” is subjective,vauge could mean a couple weeks,a couple months or six months

  • hawkwolf

    I wish that Glee and Gossip Girl didn’t air their Thanksgiving episodes way too late this year. I hadn’t watch a Thanksgiving themed episode in over 8 days now. My holiday ended early this year.

    Pity BATB went down 2 tenths instead of just 1 as I had hoped. Last night’s ep was really excellent. Back to focussing on the conspiracy and Vincent’s backstory, and next week will apparently be even more so.

    I really hope this series can hang on.

    The same people insulting Scandal’s rating, which has been either steady or going up the entire season, are the same ones who want us to believe that Elementary is a big hit. Even though it’s declined consistently since it’s premiere and has just tied Scandal’s demo despite having 4 more million viewers. Other laughable statements I’ve seen repeated here:

    1) That a one sentence plug in Entertainment Weekly was responsible for a .2 ratings increase.

    2) That after the Super Bowl, Elementary is going to magically gain a 1.0 ratings boost every week for the rest of spring. When no scripted series ever has seen a SB boost that’s lasted more than 2 weeks or that’s been above .3-.4 points.

    @ ally

    As long as B&tB does well overseas it will be back next season.

  • wah

    Tom, stop crying. TSC didn’t get cancelled because of BatB. You TSC fans are a bunch of whiners.

  • Jazmin

    @wah God Bless you, you stole my words.

    I think the adjusting was a little weird, but well I don’t know about this thinks, at least B&TB is still steady…

  • Jamie

    @Brandy

    She works in the industry and actually works for the people who own this website.

    When Emily Owens was canceled I said to her that The CW must have a repeat hour in mid season now ANTM is a summer show and she said no, Oh Sit returns soon.

    That’s not subjective.

  • Jamie

    Question for you Secret Circle fans who hate BATB…

    If Beauty was canceled, will you revel and think OK, done. Or will you hate everything that airs on Thursdays at 9PM on The CW forever?

    Thanks for nothing ABC!

    Did anyone see the half numbers for scandal? It lost four tenths in second half and almost million viewers. And that is supposed to be hit? LMAO!

  • SarahL

    @LisaNeedsBraces

    That a one sentence plug in Entertainment Weekly was responsible for a .2 ratings increase.

    Not by itself, but ABC incorporating the EW hot list during its million promos for the show along with other promos all over the Internet and during other shows, certainly helped bring in the .4 people who fled by the half hour. Week after week, Scandal fans here whine about ABC not promoting the show and now that ABC does, are you saying that it had no relationship to this week’s increase?

  • factdude

    Nielsen ratings are absolute crap, and so are their adjustments. Start accurately determining ratings using real technology and not statistical BS extrapolated from 20K people for 300+ million possible viewers that is slanted to the bigger networks.

  • DougF

    @Dillan

    Secret Circle was not the 3rd highest rated show of the season last year. Supernatural was.

    Secret Circle’s 18-49 season average was 0.73. Supernatural’s was 0.77

    And by the end of the season Supernatural was beating it by two tenths of a point each week.

  • ally

    Wow, I can’t believe how much #BatB haters there are, what just bc its not porn like VD & TSC it doesn’t deserve 2 be on air? Its actually a really damn good show. Yes it has its cheesy moments & bad crime stories, but behind that is a really heartfelt show with great actors & an epic love story.
    Its the only show on the CW besides Nikita, that’s worth watching.

  • Carl

    I wish the ratings for Elementary were better. It’s not a great great show but it’s good, the only CBS procedural I try to make time for now (although I watched the last NCIS for Alex Kingston). I think the show sort of alienates viewers from both sides, those who want straight procedural and those who are angry about the changes to Sherlock.

  • Raykov

    Move BATB to Tuesdays and put Cult after TVD!!!

  • LisaNeedsBraces

    @SarahL

    I’m sorry, but anyone who believes that mentioning being on EW’s hot list in a commerical caused thousands of people to suddenly tune in to a show is delusional. EW can’t hang onto subscribers of its magazine but suddenly has the power to compel people who don’t read their magazine to tune into a show?

  • Brandy

    @jamie, OhSit isn’t even listed on cw website ,not even “coming soon” like Carrie Diaries & Cult,which have been listed last way since May.Also,if they’ve announced Carrie Diaries premiere date(Jan 14) why haven’t they announced Cult or Sit if they’re coming in Midseason?
