    @DougF:

    I thought, Vampire Diaries was #1, Supernatural was #2 and Secret Circle was #3?

  • TSC’s Revenge

    If Beauty was canceled, will you revel and think OK, done. Or will you hate everything that airs on Thursdays at 9PM on The CW forever?

    I don’t necessarily hate B&TB, although I don’t think it is nearly as interesting as TSC.  It’s CW that I hate!  I won’t be satisfied until they file for bankruptcy!  I will always recoice in CW’s low ratings no matter what the show.  I do watch TVD; however, I’m guessing if CW folded TVD would be picked up by another network.

  • TSC’s Revenge

    just bc its not porn like VD & TSC it doesn’t deserve 2 be on air?

    WTF?? Did you forget to take your meds this morning?

    Season high for Scandal \o

    @LisaNeedsBraces

    Hilarious. Scandal fans all over are praising ABC for its promotion and you are claiming that it did not matter. Oh well, I highly doubt ABC will be spending that kind of money again promoting Scandal this season so from now all it is all on the show to produce its usual mediocre ratings.

  • Jack

    Oh, BATB. I tried. I really did, but I’m done trying to care about this show. It’s not working for me, and it appears from the ratings that I’m not alone. The special/creature effects are laughable, the supporting characters are two dimensional, the two leads are poor actors, and the story itself suffers from inconsistency. The procedural aspect is weak and overall it isn’t very suspenseful because it’s far too predictable.

  • Tom

    @ Jamie Fair question. Let me answer it this way: So long as the CW keeps sabotaging viewers’ expectations by using second rate actors and third rate storylines it doesn’t matter what timeslot we’re talking about. B&B is special only in that the CW was adding insult to the cancellation of TSC by dumping a show as shoddy as B&B into the 9 PM Thursday slot.

    By the way, there are a number of posts in this thread extolling B&B. I’d expect that because, in an audience of 1.5 MM, there are bound to be a few boosters. However, what you shouldn’t overlook is that B&B was also the bottom of the barrel for all viewership categories. So, let that be your guide.

  • Wendy

    It doesn’t matter what gets put after TVD because the majority of the viewers turn off the tv and go on social media after the episode is over to discuss. I DVR BatB, but it is hard to make myself watch it every week. Right now I have 4 weeks sitting there waiting for me to watch. I really don’t want Cult to be put on after TVD either because I want it to succeed. It is the cursed timeslot unfortunately.

    “I read online that the only reason that CBS sitcoms have high ratings is because their on CBS & it has nothing to do with how good they are.”

    Yeah, because everything you read online is true. HAHAHAHAHA
    Comedy is subjective and this whole idea about multi-cam/live audience shows vs. single-cam/non-audience shows are a bunch of hot air. Both formats can be used for funny or unfunny shows. And people won’t agree on if any one show is the former or the latter because… comedy is subjective.

    @ SarahL
    What’s your axe to grind with Scandal? Scandal is ABC’s highest rated 10pm show this week. They are averaging the same amount as most 10pm shows across all networks. Despite Grey’s crazy up and down trip, Scandal has been crazy steady and recently saw increases.

    I’m a fan so this is always great news for a show I felt ABC lacked promotion for in the start but as of lately, has been greatly increasing it and it has been showing little by little.

    I don’t understand what’s wrong with that and why you feel the need to down it. Is it really that serious to you?

  • CrystalBall

    lOl at all the BatB and Secret Circle hate.
    Let’s be honest BatB ratings sucks harder than TSC, the only difference is this year CW’s rating are lower than last year wich may save his life.
    TSC deserved cancellation (rating wise) and so does BatB.

  • Katie Hart

    @Wendy
    With Matt Davis (Alaric) on Cult, maybe it could break the post-TVD-slot curse. I went from “hmm, pass” to “definitely watching the first few episodes” once I found out he was on it.

  • rob60990

    Beauty & the Beast is going to get cancelled so TSC fans need to STFU.

  • The End

    @Carl

    They’re bringing in characters from the Sherlock novels though. Professor Moriarty for example, there’s a few others that naming would kinda spoil but this one excites me the most. Big things are coming for Elementary.

  • ragincajun

    @ Carl & The End

    Elementary reminds me quite a bit of PoI from last season. It premiered to huge fanfare, but its ratings continued to decline through November. However they decided to incorporate more serial elements into the show after the midseason break, and with FOX’s stupidly moving Bones, the show took off during the spring. That is what CBS needs to do with Elementary, and hopefully, the post-SB timeslot will provide the impetus to do so. I really want to know what caused Sherlock’s narcotics addiction, and they definitely need to explore that backstory. I’d love to see the show cast Tricia Helfer as Irene Adler and Terry O’Quinn as Professor Moriarty.

  • LoveMEhw

    Arrow is kicking TVD’s ass.
    Sorry, TVD was so stupid yesterday.

  • Wendy

    @Katie, I hope so too because I love Matt Davis, but I fear for his new show because of the timeslot curse. Hopefully Matt can prove the doubters wrong!

  • TSC’s Revenge

    TSC deserved cancellation

    @CrystalBall

    Oh please, are you even paying attention?  Sure TSC took a bit of a nose-dive at the end. However, relative to the other shows on CW it wasn’t doing all that bad.  Seriously, if it was doing all that bad in the numbers, how do you account for the fact that TVBTN NEVER had in any of the Certain to be Cancelled or Likely to be Cancelled categories?  BTW, how does HOD & Nikita get retained over TSC?  If you went simply by the raw numbers as compared to the rest of the networks you would have to dump the entire CW network!  Anyway I’m over TSC it isn’t coming back, and that’s fine; however, that doesn’t mean I can’t have a big smile on my face as the CW burns!  How sweet it is!!

  • badman

    @ MAX

    so.. your favorite show is scandal?? then i wish it crushes and burns in hell!!
    you are so annoying with your revenge hate that i really, really want to see your favorite show dead asap!!!!
    come on ABC cancel scandal now!!!!

  • TSC’s Revenge

    @rob60990

    Beauty & the Beast is going to get cancelled so TSC fans need to STFU.

    Does it make you MAD that we won’t STFU??  Does it Robbie BOY???   GOOD!!!  Now go away and pout somewhere else…
