    @ TSC’s Revenge If I remember correctly, the CW actually announced that The Secret Circle would be renewed before Pedowitz et al. double crossed the fans and cancelled it. After that, I took a particular interest in watching the CW crumble.

  • David Howell

    Impressive that TVD only got a 0.1 adjustment from an NFL pre-emption in the show’s “home market”.

    I think Beauty and the Beast will be bearchow, it’s doing worse than TSC and it’s doing so earlier in the season. I’m still surprised they didn’t pick up The Situation, I think that’s what the Hunger Games-esque pilot they ordered was – although apparently that pilot was beyond terrible. It must have been, it was a blatantly obvious pickup on paper.

    FOX didn’t have any adjustments down despite a pre-emption which is good. Glee rebounded decently from last week.

    Glad to see Scandel didn’t really drop and held up. Its a really good show ABC should give more time. Its doing better than Nashville, 666, and other 10pm shows. Its a solid show that ABC should continue to nurture. I honestly think ABC will do much better once Last Resort is pulled and they put a good show at 8pm. Should ABC test Shark Tank on Thursday’s at 8pm? Honestly I love it on Friday nights but its doing really well there but wonder how it would do on Thursday’s.

    FOX X Factor held up it went up in viewers. Its means it going back up to the finale. Honestly next week Diamond/CeCe will be gone and we will have a final four of Tate, Carly, Emblem and Fifth Harmony. That would be a strong final four for a weird season of X Factor. X Factor is over the top crazed scripted TRASH that u have to love because of it. I wonder what FOX will change for season 3. What changes would you make for the third season of X Factor?

    ” If I remember correctly, the CW actually announced that The Secret Circle would be renewed before Pedowitz et al. double crossed the fans and cancelled it.”

    Huh?

    We can always miss things, but we’re not likely to have missed something as crazy as that.

    I’m calling that crazy fan fantasy until I see a link to credible information.

    I do recall there being a mix up about whether or not Secret Circle had been renewed or cancelled. I believe tvline wrongfully reported the show being renewed while other sites had it as cancelled.

    POI doesn’t look too hot after that 2.5 Men number. Can we say that CBS comedies rebounded much better than their dramas, without bashing the dramas?

    Used to watch Elementary but now that Burn Notice came back on USA, I lost interest in the former. Taped a few but am not in a hurry to watch them.

    @Roco

    Haters really don’t have to say anything. Elementary has been picked to show an episode after the Super Bowl

    @LoveMEhw

    huh… are you looking at the same ratings I am.

  • K

    …can Scandal claim the same?

  • Nikki

    I knew Beauty would be adjusted down.. cancellation bear will get another snack soon. This terrible show needs to be canceled.

  • TPHxItachi

    VD was so good last Night. But back 9pm for Cw is not a curse timeslot, its just the quality of the show that’s cursed. TSC and BATB were really bad in the beginning excluding TSC pliot which was amazing. And ppl just stop watching it, including me. Cult seems pretty complex so I cant see how it will do good in the CW. Hoepfully it does because the show looks great.

    Still cant believe people watch Grey’s after all this time, how can they spin doctors for that long is beyond me. NBC line needs to go ASAP, they suck. Then again, better they be there, VD ratings don’t have to worry about a decent show in that timeslot.

    @Not Sure on Page 3:

    2 reasons.

    1) A program was preempted in a reasonable large market and the replacement program was watched by more people than the original program in the other markets.

    2) Schedule overrun. A higher rated program ran 1 or more minutes into the other program that had less viewers. In this case the audience for said 1 or more minutes is calculated out since they watched the earlier program.

  • Nikki

    Oh and about the misunderstanding about Secret Circle being renewed, Spoilertv had it as renewed for a whole day and then the updated it to cancelled. At first they just cancelled Ringer and Secret Circle was renewed, but they changed their mind i guess.

  • Carl

    @ragincajun, I do think serial elements would help Elementary. The procedural stories have garnered the most criticism.

    @The End, I’m glad they’re bringing in Moriarty. I wonder sometimes if casting Lucy Liu was the permanent break for some. I actually like her and I like her take on Watson (I will especially like it if they don’t have her get involved with Sherlock), but that was met with such fan anger. Many of those fans never seemed to bother watching the show.

  • Mika

    I dont get the fight of Scandal vs. Revenge I love both shows and I hope they move Scandal sunday night after OUAT and Revenge

  • Edward

    I’m in love with BATB! Really great show…last episode was simply amazing.

    @Scott

    Oh shut up… POI skews male and men watch Thursday night football. Greys is a dumb show – POI is actually intelligently written

    That’s why Grey’s Anatomy has won dozens of awards, including prestigious Primetime Emmy Awards and Golden Globe Awards. What has Person of Interest won? A People’s Choice Award. Lol, Person of Interest has delusional fans.

    @THE OLD MAN

    See ratings for NCIS

    I saw them! And do you know what I saw? I saw that Grey’s Anatomy‘s seasonal average is higher than NCIS‘s.

    I love how everyone’s saying oh, Person of Interest is such a hit! I respect the Gunsmoke Rule, so I’m not going to base this comment on how successful Grey’s Anatomy was in its second season. Person of Interest‘s never cracked a 4.0. Grey’s Anatomy notched a 4.4 this season; yes, its ninth season. Person of Interest is solid, but it’s no “hit”.

    @THE OLD MAN

    POI & GA are both stand alone shows & are running neck & neck towards the winter finish line.

    POI is currently the 4th highest rated hour long CBS has & would at least maintain that status.

    POI fans are just quoting numbers & are not delusional at all.

    You’re gloating at the fact that Person of Interest is #4 on CBS? Lol, pathetic. You have bashed nine-year-old Grey’s Anatomy for its 3.1, yet two-year-old Person of Interest is called a “hit” on the rare occasion when it notches that number. Grey’s Anatomy is the #1 drama on network TV with an average of 3.5; Person of Interest is #7 with an average of 2.9. Person of Interest fans quote random upspikes the series has taken, yet they ignore Grey’s Anatomy‘s stable low 3′s and occasional rises to the 4′s. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Grey’s Anatomy‘s low numbers are Person of Interest‘s high numbers.

  • Fishy

    I see that know one could explain the dubious adjustment drop of two shows on the same network being significantly different. This simply tells me that Nielsen ratings are BS and their manipulation is done by idiots paid by the bigger networks or by biased idiots who make whatever adjustments they feel like.

  • Barbie

    Elementary the same as Scandal?? C’mon, people. Go watch CBS!!!! Shonda Rhimes is just going to kill the characters anyway! Though, the outside demo difference *is* screaming! Which means more people DO watch Elementary, of course!
