In late-night metered-market households Friday night:

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2012 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Shark Tank is a beast even in reruns. Solid for ABC comedies.

  • Sam

Good for Nikita considering it’s, well… Nikita.

I can see it pretty much averaging out there, with maybe a little bit of hope in it reaching a 0.5 now and again.

  • John A

wow a season high for Nikita LMAO.

  • Dillan

Obsessed? I’m simply stating that the rating isn’t good.

  • DougF

    @bigbrotherfan

Supernatural got 0.8′s in the slot last year. Heck two years ago they were getting 1.0+ there with the Smallville lead-in

  • Felipe Nikita

    Nikita

  • Sam

Coming to think of it, Nikita probably would have faired better tonight in the 9pm slot, considering all the repeats during that time… Ironic?

  • JONNYSBRO

Damn Shark Tank did that well for a freaking repeat. Thats crazy to think its demos where that good and ratings that high for a repeat. Should ABC attempt to put Shark Tank on a different night or keep it on Friday? If it aint broke don’t fix it but I have a weird feeling ABC is maybe looking to try Shark Tank on a bigger night.

BTW Last Man Standing and Malibu Country should be reciveing full season orders soon. They have stayed very conistent and have done well on the lowest rated viewing night. 20/20 was another solid performance.

Why is ABC Fridays doing so well? I mean ABC probably is gasping the lowest rated on TV is one of there strongest LOL.

Undercover Boss has proved to be a good Friday night hit for CBS. Its the highest rated demo wise and its helping CSI/Blue Bloods. Gettign rid of Maid in New Jersey was a big help just like Partners. I expect CSI NY to get a 10th season renewel and bill it as final season.

  • s0303

shark tank still beat csi:ny on a repeat :)

okay for nikita if it can hold that rating…0.4 on a friday is probably a 0.5 on another night…

abc comedies are doing better than i thought after they fell a lot the first few weeks.

  • Tom

oh yeah Nikita. Season 4 here we come!!!!!!

    woooooooo

  • Maximillian

Nikita will get renewed – its happening.

  • Sel

Is 1.5 good enough for Malibu Country or I need to start worry?

  • Maximillian

@Sel – if it stays there, no need to worry.

  • Jane

Blue Bloods was so boring last night as was Danny’s fill in partner. She may have been pretty but she was dull as dishwater. I liked the fill in for the Halloween episode better.

  • CoolRanchDoritos

Um what was that about the Arrow repeat doing better than Nikita.

    Suck it haters.

  • r0ckmypants

So… a repeat of Arrow is a “flop” when it gets the same rating a new episode of Nikita gets in the same time slot? I think not.

Why is ABC repeating Shark Tank? They have a 24 episode season; it seems silly to be repeating already when the rest of the lineup is new.

  • herpderp

Nikita fanboys cheering over a 0.4? Pathetic.

  • omabin

@Sel, I think Malibu is fine, albeit with little room for further falls.

  • Diana

AWWWWW MAN, WHY this stupid people doesnt watch NIKITA?
NIKITA deserves better rattings, it’s an awesome show!

  • r0ckmypants

@JONNYSBRO – Last Man Standing and Malibu Country both already got 5 episode back orders. They’ll be around all season.
