In late-night metered-market households Friday night:

Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2012 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.

NOTE: All ratings are "live plus same day" from Nielsen Media Research unless otherwise indicated.

Definitions:

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.  More information on ratings is available here.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

    @Hi

    You don’t know what you’re talking about. Like at all.

  • MJ

    WAY TO GO Malibu Country!!!! Glad to hear ABC ordered enough episodes to finish out the Season. The show has been getting better every week. Good to see LMS & MC beating out other comedies during primetime spots on other days!!!!

  • CrimTV

    Also does anyone know when ABC and CBS will announce their midseason schedule and when Fox will announce The Goodwin Games’ and The CW will announce Cult’s premiere dates.

    Last season ABC announced their midseason schedule on November 18, 2011 and CBS announced their’s on November 14, 2011. It’s now December 1!

  • thesnowleopard

    @Hi
    You fulfill the very definition of a knee-jerk Retentionista. TSC didn’t get canceled and Nikita moved to Fridays because they didn’t retain TVD’s lead-in. It was because they did poorly relative to other shows on the network. If Nikita had continued to do well relative to the rest of the CW, while not retaining all that much of TVD’s lead-in, it probably would have still been moved (It probably would have been moved, regardless, since the network would want to put another new shows there and expect Nikita to bolster another night). But it wouldn’t have been moved directly to Friday night.

  • Alexis

    *lights candles and forms a prayer circle that Nikita doesn’t get adjusted down*

  • Homer99

    Yay, Nikita!

  • Frank82

    @Hi As you can compare a series that goes by its eighth season and has a few classifications of 0.8 to 1 and more than 2 million viewers in a series that in his first season had some classifications so low

  • charmedcraft

    As expected, Nikita still horrible.

  • herpderp

    Hilarious how the Nikita fanboys are trying to attack Supernatural and the rest of CW. Way to show graditude to the network that renewed your show despite crap ratings, you idiots. The very definition of an ungrateful fanbase. Instead of enjoying their show, they continue to whine and moan. Now I wish it would get canceled so they would shut up. Thanks a lot, loud obnoxious fanbase. You’ve ruined the show for me.

  • Ram510

    I think it’s so weird how on this site people love to focus in on Nikita’s ratings and bash them week in and week out. The part I don’t understand is that people bash Nikita as though the CW has much better ratings as a whole. THE WHOLE CW STINKS!!!!! Have people not noticed?

  • John A

    Yeah CW promoted Nikita like crazy and still just a 0.4 so pathetic as well as people blaiming CW for its lousy performance.

  • Stella

    Why do people always accuse Nikita fans as the haters towards other shows on the CW?

    I watch Nikita every week and I know the ratings are bad but you don’t see me hating on other cw shows, stop accusing Nikita fans of everything. For all we know those people who talk bad about every CW show don’t even watch CW.

    It was a miracle Nikita got renewed, and I don’t even care if it doesn’t get a Season 4, i’m already thankful it reached Season 3.

  • Michael

    @Ram510- yes, we noticed. But Nikita has horrible ratings *relative to other CW shows*, as Bill and Robert have pointed out many times.

  • John A

    Nikita fans attack every other higher rated show on CW. Its sad really. Arrow Tvd and SPN are doing fine so no the whole CW isnt doing awful

  • herpderp

    They’re all disciples of Bondoel.

  • Felipe

    @herpderp WTF? I do not see fans of Nikita “attacking” other shows o_o You’re confusing and accusing without knowing.

    And Nikita it’s “hated” here, not other shows. And if there are any Nikita fan that “attack” other CW shows, DO NOT THINK THAT ALL FANS ARE SO.

    Do not judge a whole fanbase only by one fan. And if so, you don’t want to watch Nikita, who loses is you.

  • Vcoolwater

    The fact that cw only has three shows doing well in ratings show that cw is in dire straights. Supernatural is already showing signs of depreciation and don’t see lasting past season ten.

    Also it looks like cw is going to flood the market with superhero shows. I mean they already planning another dc comics show, I see over saturation in the future which might hurt arrow. If cw want to succeed they need a major facelift.

    Having pretty people is not enough

  • Andrea

    @theshowleopard:

    on Nikita: Most people just plain don’t like it.

    That’s an opinion, just like everyone else’s.

  • herpderp

    @Felipe

    Rofl. I can’t tell if you’re ignorant or just in denial.

    If Nikita is hated here, it’s because of fanboys like you.

  • Damo

    @Crim TV

    General question why do you care that you keep asking near enough everyday now and hardly a response but I can say the Goodwin games which had its episode order cut will probably premiere once Ben and Kate is done which should be around February or March time but i’m looking forward to most of the midseason stuff but more importantly revolution coming back and have you watched it yet
