   regarding ”Hunted” on Cinemax:

   Nov. 16: 10:01 PM: 0.100 million viewers, 0.03 A18-49

   Nov. 23: 10:00 PM: 0.110 million viewers, 0.04 A18-49

   and now suddenly more than twice as much viewers???

   Nov. 30: 10:02 PM: 0.229 million viewers, 0.05 A18-49

   @jay–????? Why the hostility? I’m simply joking about how horrible the ratings for Hunted are. Cinemax obviously wants to know them, but isn’t interested in PUBLICIZING them. No press releases trying to spin the #’s, because they’re too embarrassing. That’s why we have to wait so long to know how it did. Much better this past Friday, for some reason.

   As to what you say about them trying to get support from BBC for a second season–that’s pure nonsense. Here’s the actual situation. That show is dead. BBC canceled it. There is zero chance of it coming back there. Cinemax is open to the POSSIBILITY of ordering a spin-off of that series. Same lead character, presumably played by Melissa George (who was featured in the heavy advertising Cinemax did over here), but everything else would be very different (probably most or all of the supporting character would be gone, and Lord only knows what the setting and premise would be).

   It would be a new show. Frank Spotnitz just made it very clear on his blog that Cinemax has not agreed to make this rebooted version of his show (at a greatly reduced budget, which is going to complicate matters), and he uses the word ‘spin-off’, so the show a tiny handful of people have been watching on Cinemax is gone, no matter what happens.

   IF Cinemax goes for it, then they will of course try to sell it overseas, but there’s no possibility of it airing on BBC. Maybe Sky1. But as of right now, it’s just Spotnitz trying to come up with a new approach, since the old one clearly didn’t work.

   You may know more about ratings than me (many do), but it sure doesn’t show in what you actually posted.

   @redlock–that is a bit weird, isn’t it?

   At what level of audience does Nielsen’s poll become unreliable? There are maybe about as many Nielsen viewers as there are people who watched the November 16 and 23 episodes of Hunted.

   I think the #’s could be much lower than what Nielsen is reporting–on any night.
