THE CW’S NEW MIDSEASON DRAMA “CULT” PREMIERES ON
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 19 (9:00-10:00 PM)
December 4, 2012 (Burbank, CA) – The CW today announced the series premiere of the mind-bending, suspenseful new drama CULT on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 (9:00-10:00p.m. ET).
Investigative journalist Jeff Sefton has learned to laugh off his younger brother Nate’s relentless string of obsessions, especially his latest rant that a hit TV show intends to harm him. However, when his brother mysteriously disappears, Jeff takes Nate’s paranoia seriously, and in the process uncovers the dark underworld of the TV series “Cult” and its rabid fans, who are obsessed with the show’s charismatic cult leader, Billy Grimm. As the show’s gruesome plot twists begin to play out in the real world, Jeff enlists the help of a young research assistant Skye in a race to save Nate and unravel the mystery behind the TV series whose hardcore fans would literally kill to see what happens next…
The series stars Matt Davis (“The Vampire Diaries”) as Jeff Sefton, Jessica Lucas (“Melrose Place,” “Cloverfield”) as Skye Yarrow, Alona Tal (“Supernatural,” “The Killing”) as Kelly Collins and Robert Knepper (“Prison Break,” “Shameless”) as Billy Grimm.
CULT is from Fake Empire and Rockne S. O’Bannon Television in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Television Studios, with executive producers Rockne S. O’Bannon (“Farscape,” “V”), Josh Schwartz (“Chuck,” “Gossip Girl”), Stephanie Savage (“Hart Of Dixie,” “Gossip Girl”) and Len Goldstein (“Hart Of Dixie”).

This show is so cancelled! They gave it the worst time slot of the network.
I just hope that it gets renewed! But it will be on a tough spot :/
On the plus side, if it performs good or avarage, maybe they will pair it with TVD next season
Horrible scheduling.
It’s the only new show that I’m waiting.
Now the show s destined to get canceled they should have brought B&TB her and took Cult to thursdays after TVD. I will be watching and i hope it gets good ratings and gets renewed but with the HOD lead in its destined to fail.
Cult will only last the 13 episodes that The CW ordered. It is in the death time slot and just like Life Unexpected, Melrose Place, Hellcats, Ringer, and Emily Owens MD before it, it will be canceled.
idiots Thursdays is better…at least they are airing it before March
Cult probably the new Reaper
So CW will keep BATB on Thursday? Ridiculous at least give this show a chance with a lead in.
And the show just sounds awful.
Crazy scheduling.
Supposedly the pilot is terrible, so perhaps this is The CW’s best attempt at burying the show.
Pairing it with HOD? They don’t seem compatible.
With ANTM being saved for summer, is Nikita airing with repeats for the rest of the season? Cult would’ve felt a better fit Friday @ 9.
Poor scheduling, any chance it had has gone out the window.
@Jack S
Its compatible because they are both Josh Schwartz shows, He runs the CW
Um, Supernatural is on the same time slot and it’s run for 8 years. So….
I can agree with them keeping Beauty on Thursday because they dont want to risk it collapsing any further without TVD as a lead in. If it stays at the level it is now I think it will likely be renewed.
But HOD as a lead in? Terrible idea, they should have moved 90210 to Tuesday at 9 and put Cult on Monday at 9. Two new shows together despite very different premises would have been a better idea than using a very low arted show as a lead in.
Tuesdays is a good night. I’m really happy about the announcement. I’m thrilled. I think it’s perfect because the audience they’re aiming for has nothing else to watch during this time slot.
Cult is so getting cancelled.. and I think B&tB will be cancelled along with it so it doesn’t really matter.
They’ve given it the death slot! And paired it with Hart of Dixie.. two completely different shows. It’s like 90210 / Ringer all over again.
Kind of surprised that Cult didn’t get the post TVD spot. But kudos to CW for trying to build a new hit on another night like how they did with Arrow. It’s time people started watch CW beyond Thursday at 8
