One Tree Hill. Gossip Girl. Both were veteran CW dramas that were given a short final season on their way out the door. With 90210 ratings this season as dreadful as they've ever been, a short 13 episode final season next Fall is its only hope, but just because the CW has done it before, doesnt mean they have to do it again.
What's your guess? Will 90210 get a 13 episode farewell season, or is 2012-13 its final hurrah?
How can Nikita with absolutely "look away" bad ratings be "likely to be renewed"? The pull of a fourth season for syndication purposes is one of the strongest forces in the TV universe. Read more about it here.

The Renew/Cancel Index is the ratio of a scripted show's new episode adults 18-49 ratings relative to the new episode ratings of the other scripted shows on its own network. It's calculated by dividing a show's new episode Live+Same Day adults 18-49 average rating by the Live+Same Day new episode average of all the new scripted show episodes on the show's own network. The network's average ratings in the calculation are not time weighted (ex. hour long shows are not weighted twice what 30 minute shows are).
(F) -Fridays: Shows airing on Fridays were renewed with significantly lower than average Indexes.

The CW owes to this show..Have the haters forgotten that its series premiere was the highest the Cw ever got for a while..Its ratings have been pretty stable until this season and I’m sure they’ll pick up soon..90210 DESERVES a full final season(of 22 episodes) or at least a 13 episode shortened one..
Time for 90210 to go. Keep BatB.
@Rayyan
The CW isn’t going to waste its third-rated show on Fridays again, any more than it’s going to put a new show like Cult there. That’s why the network moved SPN out of that slot in the first place.
It’s also unlikely that Cult will have its second season after TVD, since the last two shows in that slot have been new. And that’s assuming Cult, Nikita, HoD, and 90210 will *all* make it to next season, which seems very unlikely. At least two of them will probably end up axed.
Plus, it’s far too early to assume anything about the pilots. Some of the most talked-up pilots of the past few seasons never made it onto the schedule.
@thesnowleopard
for me, the cw is really a unpredictable network. it’s just my prediction, so it doesn’t matter if its true or not
@Mike D
i agreed! they are stupid not to picking up Aquaman back then.
Why would they put SPN back on Friday nights, when it’s doing well on a weekday and the CW needs those kinds of ratings on regular nights?
@Rayyan
No, it really isn’t that unpredictable. SPN was doing too well for Friday nights, so it got moved to a better night. Other networks have done the same thing – CBS tried it with “Blue Bloods” and NBC with “Grimm.”
However, moving a show back to Fridays when it’s doing well on the other day? That would be stupid, so they’re not going to do it. As Moe says, they need it getting better ratings on a better night.
Moving SPN back to Friday night would be a piss poor decision for the CW. Using Arrow to launch a new show show makes sense so moving SPN seems inevitable, however SPN is a steady performer and should be used to anchor another night (not Friday)with a new show. Friday should be reserved for shows with low ratings that have been renewed for syndication purposes.

90210 doesn’t deserve another season even if it’s 10 episode; why would they get the same as GG? We complained GG had dumb storylines but here’s it’s the top of stupidness! Plus, their first seasons didn’t impact youths as GG did. OK 90210 does a bit better in ratings than GG but that’s only because they air 1 hour earlier. You have to compare 90210′s current ratings with those of GG from last year since there’s a season difference.
KEEP: Hart of Dixie, Beauty and the Beast, and maybe Carrie Diaries
CANCEL: Nikita, 90210
Compare 90210′s ratings with GG’s season 5 since they have a season difference. At least, last year GG went under 1 million viewers only 5 times and it was by the end of the season. Here, 90210 had most of the time its viewers under 1 million; GG too and a bit worse but it’s for their sixth season!! Imagine if they keep 90210 next year… Honestly, it would be a waste of money even if it’s for 10 episodes.
WOW MUST BE ALL MEN WHO HATE THE GOOD CW DRAMAS! TAKING GG, 90210 & TREE HILL SUCKS?
Cancel 90210! Bring back The Secret Circle!!!
Also, Supernatural and Vampire Diaries are the best shows the cw has
90210 forever
BRING BACK THE SECRET CIRCLE!!
