    @monica – it’s kind of Hawaii five-o’loughlin/caan/park/kim isn’t it? :)

    As I wrote on the morning thread, I expected the ratings for Castle to be a lot worst. It happens every time for the Fall Finale which airs in the first week of December every time…. The geniuses at ABC (see Mid Season Lineup for confirmation) always schedule a hiatus before the Fall Finale, they then place the finale with the weakest lead-in possible. Result … Lowest rated episode of the Season… It never fails…. For four straight seasons ABC has done the same thing, and the results are the same.

    When I read people (see Chris) talk smack about those results, I always ask what other ABC drama could do better given the pathetic lead-in and one week hiatus? Nashville and Scandal … Surely not. How would any other 10PM drama do with similar circumstances? H50 would get the same results as Castle. Anything else would do far worse….

    @bluejays

    It sure is!!!

    I’m a fan of 90210 but I rather them announce it as the final season… I’m afraid that if it continues it would would go out with those sad pathetic numbers GG is getting. I rather have 90210 go out with some ok numbers.

    Good for HF-0!! Alex was great in last nights’ episode – his scene near the end with C. Thomas Howell was the best part. The model stalker storyline, by comparison,was just dumb IMO.
    Next weeks’ episode looks interesting.

    @eridapo

    I disagree that H50 would get the same results as Castle with the same lead-in. H50 ratings are pretty consistent regardless of how high (last week M&M got a 3.6) or low (M&M got a 3.1 this week) its leadin. Hawaii still managed to get the SAME ratings. Castle didn’t even air last week and H50 still didn’t get bumped down this week. That’s a positive thing for Hawaii.

    Poor Blake, but it’s not hard to understand Behati closing the gap on him by 33% in one fell swoop.

  • sandy

    What about including those people over 49!!!! BONES’ is the best show on TV!!! Their ratings should be higher!!!

  • Paul

    H5O hitting it’s stride – excellent last few episodes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Mari

    Castle being able to grow so much from that terrible lead in just proves the show has a solid fan base.

  • eridapo

    @ Sandy,

    The viewer portion of the chart indicates the entire tv watching population (all demos). The 1.9 demo only represents (1.9*1.265) 2.403 Million people.

    So the Bones audience outside the 18-49 age demographic is(7.29-2.40) 4.89 Million…

  • eridapo

    @ Monica

    We seen H50 hit 1.8 and 1.9s this season with strong lead-ins, so it is safe to assume that without a solid lead-in H50 could hit similar numbers as Castle…

  • joel

    If it had The Voice as a lead in H50 would be 3+

  • Barbie

    Hawaii Five-0 <3

    I think with regards to HFO and Castle, they were both really badly hit by Revolution. That show was massive for a ten pm show and it took viewers away. Those viewers won’t come back for definite. They might but sometimes they don’t.

    But both HFO and Castle are doing as well as the other ten pm shows on their respective nets so really detractors of either are talking out their asses.

  • Beth

    Gossip Girl ratings are richly deserved, the show has never been worse than it is right now. The writers could not even rally a decent run for a half season order, it seems.

    Has Fox cancelled The Mob Doctor yet?

  • BigFlop

    loser and winners ;)

    CBS Lead-in 3,5 10,17
    H50 2,3 down 35% 9,32 down 9% >>>> loser

    nbc Lead-in 3,9 12,11
    blake.. 2,7 down 31% 8,88 down 27% >>>>> loser

    abc Lead-in 1,0 4,61
    castle 1,7 up 70% 8,5 up 84% >>>>> winner

  • Jennifer

    I noticed none of the Castle fans ever answer the question as to why 5 seasons in and they still need a lead-in? Don’t blame the lead-in, blame the show itself.

  • Hawaii Five-0 Rocks

    @BigFlop
    You must work for ABC to SPIN the ratings to make 1.7 look like a winner.
    It is what it is accept it.

    Revolution Fans they all come back. Revolution mid season finale was the best episode of the series. I am fine if NBC wants to pair Revolution with the Voice and try a cable format. I wait a year for Justified and Damages what is the difference. NBC will not let this show fail, it has to much potential. I don’t watch the Voice, this is the first time in years I have watched a Monday Night show since 24 on Fox. The Voice did not keep Smash in the high 2.9 if I recall Smash got renewed and it was close to 1.6. I will watch Smash when it returns. There are a lot of JJ Abrahms/Krippe fans and
    Fringe will soon be over they will need a fix. This hiatus gives them time to fix Charlie and make her more likable.
    Love Elizabeth Mitchell, David Lyons and Miles of course.
