Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Posting just to say something needs to be done about rob60990’s trolling.

ABC are morons. Extreme Makeover should have been axed years ago. Castle suffered because of it and that sucks because Castle was a good episode last night.

  • Jamie

CASTLE should be self-sufficient now, so it has no excuses.

CBS should have aired a repeat of TBBT again.

9O21O could have been a lot better yesterday.

  • SueK

Fan excuse Bingo anyone? Castle is down because of weak lead in? Wasn’t up against Revolution this week. That was last week’s excuse.

  • Tony ^_^

    Lol at “Extreme Make-Over”…

Poor “Castle”… I expect a lot of “‘Castle’ is lead-in dependant so it should be canceled, blah, blah, blah…” in the comments today… O.o

Overall, everything is back down to normal ratings…

  • Oliver

The Blake Shelton special did remarkably well. I guess it’s compatible programming with The Voice.

That said, I’m slightly surprised NBC didn’t use that timeslot to preview the pilot of Deception. I know they’re using The Voice finale to boost 1600 Penn.

  • Ram510

When will ABC learn that nobody wants to watch EM:HE. They could’ve just brought back V instead (I still really miss V)

    M&M will adjust down

  • Seth

Better big market Monday Night Football game matchup = Decreased ratings….BINGO!

  • Nate

Surprised 90210 didn’t add more viewers considering it was the 100th episode. Oh well.

  • JJM

Lol Castle. With a dreadful actress like Stana Katic playing the “love interest” i´d say those are still great numbers

  • Ultima

When will ABC learn that nobody wants to watch EM:HE. They could’ve just brought back V instead

Someone as delusional as you really shouldn’t criticize others for not learning.

  • hubertwentland5

Next week, 2BG will air 2 episodes and there will be no the Voice at 9 pm. It will also be led by TBBT. Am I insane to claim it will crack 5.0 at 9:30 with no competition at all?

  • Billy

CBS Monday dropped like a rock without a Big Bang Theory repeat. That proves last weeks increased season high ratings was strictly from The Big Bang Theory bringing in viewers last week. These shows are really weak without The Big Bang Theory help.

  • Mon

Castle still dependent on DWTS after 4 years of airing after it and increased exposure from local and cable syndications? I guess it’s not going anywhere on ABC’s schedule.

  • Tony ^_^

And this is also why ABC keeps “Dancing With the Stars” around. Though its ratings are low, it does better than anything ABC places on Monday or Tuesday.

  • adaan

Blake’s X-mas special was HILLARIOUS!!!!!! Amanda & Melanie are going home tonight (based on iTune sales)

  • Zth

@hubertwentland Yes, that’s an insane prediction. It will do around 4.0-4.1 at both 9 and 9:30.

  • RyanCanada

castle needs a proper lead in, didnt drop much in viewers tho love the show, great episodes of Bones, 2BG and M&M

  • Ultima

CBS Monday dropped like a rock without a Big Bang Theory repeat. That proves last weeks increased season high ratings was strictly from The Big Bang Theory bringing in viewers last week

Yes, clearly one data point is all you need to prove something.

All of the other networks which don’t have The Big Bang Theory being up last week and down this week should just be ignored, because that doesn’t fit in with your nonsense.

  • Grey

Interesting that “Castle” and “Bones” have basically the same numbers in these preliminaries. And although Shelton’s special “won” the 10PM hour he lost a lot of his lead-in.
