Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live football game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.

Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.

Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)

Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

As Seth pointed out, BIG MNF game (NYG v Washington) v big losers (Philly v. Carolina) – when the cable numbers come up, that will explain the Network losses. Why isn’t everyone trashing TV dropping? After all, it didn’t have DWTS as competition.

Nevermind Sarah know that Joke was an episode now.

Please do not make any suggestions that involve HIMYM returning for another season, I beg you :)

@Honey Bager. Those rankings on iTunes done mean any success after the show

The Voice is still doing strong numbers for NBC. I love these contestants this season. I think Blake is the best coach. I think Cassadee Pope is the winner and IMO she could be the one who finally becomes the Voice superstar. Shes commerical, good and her songs are always top on itunes. Could Cassadee be the shows biggest winner? Also is it me or is Christina Aguilera the biggest WITCH on the planet. She was passive agressive nasty to contestants she didn’t like. Its clear shes threatned by Amanda and is nasty to her. Reminds me of when JLO nitpicked the girls on Idol and the contestants she didn’t like.

With CBS they need to keep the slot with BBT repeats only, they have tried other repeat shows keep the BBT going and the ratings will be better. 2 Broke Grils is doing well for CBS.

@Gina yes, Bones is still fairly solid but if we keep getting B/C/D characters & storylines, don’t know for how much longer it will be. :(

Baby Bieber performs on Victoria Secret’s Fashion Show!

@1mars Bones aired their 4 Bonus episodes in the fall. They wanted all of them out if the way. Those were more centered on other characters and the group as a whole. They didn’t ask for them. They just had to find a place for them. Looking forward to January brings are really gonna pick to. Very excited from spoilers.

@EDL The cinematography was excellent, but not for all fans apparently.

  • Bookworm

No offense to Castle fans but are we still ridding on “Lead-ins” and a drop in rating. Castle has been around a little too long to not have an established fan base and viewers who tune in for that show at that time. I can’t imagine that a weak lead-in will affect a show that has had 10 million plus views that last view episodes. If I’m correct, there was no two week break (people can forget it comes on) and there was no time change so what happened?

I’m sorry for the show to have that low of a rating but I won’t sit here and act like extreme was the reason for it considering they got a 1.3 the previous week and Castle grew out of that lead. It should have been able to do the same this week.

This argument would work for Freshmen and maybe Sophomore shows that have not established a steady fan base but shows like Castle are on what, season 4 or 5? They should be able to hold their own. The drop was purely on them and for whatever reason, people didn’t want to tune it. Take the blow and look for it to go up when it comes back.

@marge, it seems that the nbc special did keep the “revolution” audience as the ratings are almost the same as last week’s finale of the show. Also “castle” aired tonight and still h50 dropped only by 0.1 and it’s lead in fell by 0.5 compared to last monday.

    # EDL

Did you see my notes? I so totally agree! I was so taken aback by the opening segment & the conclusion with the boy skate boarding away was classic!

Probably the best Bones this season.

This ABC press release just in:

“Monday’s lineup tops all Network shows that start with ‘C’ or ‘E’. Beats rest of competition by considerable margins. “

  • Babygate

I want to fire whoever is in charge of programming at ABC. Extreme Edition was sliding on Sundays, why wouod they think the show would find an audience on Mondays? They are killing their shows. Between picking horrible show names (hello, 666 Park Ave????) and their crappy scheduling choices, they keep losing their audience. It doesn’t help either that ABC shows are available on demand and other online sources while CBS shows are only available on the network’s website, if at all.

    100th episode of 90210 get a .5 what a joke…Gossip Girl is pathetic

  • Ateofi

@bookworm, last week “castle” was not aired. There was 2 weeks break.

  • Rachel

“Some of the comments are making me laugh. You guys say Castle is not leadin dependent then when it hits a 1.7 you blame the leadin.

Haha, which one is it then? Whatever works that week? Lol”

@Gina you are just a vile Castle hater. Look at how terrible Home did. What do you expect?

  • 1mars

@Gina The spoilers do look interesting, the fall season, other than ep 1 & 2 just felt like a filler to get to January. I’m still hanging in there

The cinematography on Mob Doctor was also outstanding, as was the art/set decoration. The scene with Constantine exiting the church was breath taking.

Also, Stafford throwing the baseball to his patient was gut wrenching.

Another excellent episode (pa rum pa pum pum)

Castle lost to a Blake Shelton special, how embarrassing, LOL
