Weird things are coming to ABC...this summer. A new paranormal investigation show entitled Weird Desk has been given a full 13-episode summer season order by ABC. The series should be something in the vein of The X-Files, and is based on the alleged real-life mysteries from this world and beyond (spooky!). We'll update this post with an official press release as soon as we get one!

In a season full of badly-titled series, I think this is the worst of the lot.

Summer is incredibly busy for the broadcast networks this year.
ABC has Weird Desk, Mistresses, The Family Tools and potentially Apt 23 and Happy Endings.
On NBC, The Voice is running into Summer, plus potentially Hannibal, Dracula, Crossbones and The Winner Is.
Hell, even CBS has Unforgettable and potentially Bake Off.

And if the plans hold, CBS also has “Under the Dome” which I’m guessing will draw more summer traffic for us than “Bake Off”…

Trying… LOL…. Soon they will be putting a camera in front of a newly painted wall so that people could see how fast the paint dries, and they will that a TV show.
IDK, I think it’s interesting that the broadcast nets have decided to take on the cable stations over the summer. I think it shows that they’re finally waking up to the fact that they are not invincible (and I believe we have The Walking Dead and even SOA to thank for that)so they’re trying to program year round now. I’m all for it and maybe we’ll get something kind of cool out of it. Besides, it might force some of the cable stations (cough, Syfy cough
) to up their game a bit. Of course it all depends on what the Big Guys put out but hey, I’m game to give Weird Desk and some of the others a try along with my Master Chef/Hells Kitchen fixation. lol

Weird name haha. I don’t know why primetime networks don’t have regular summer programs during the summertime. Just a couple of nice summer dramas/comedies besides all reruns and reality shows.
