What I’M really concerned about is that NBC may move Go On and TNM to Thursday which is so competitive. After the office, 30Rocks are gone, there are many change on Thursday.
90210 gets half the viewership of Hart of Dixie and it still manages to get the exact same demo. I’m sorry, but 90210 deserves a renewal if Hart of Dixie gets it.
Guys, can we just stop pretending the CW is going to move Nikita off of Friday? It is not happening. I’m not saying its getting canceled, but if it gets a pity renewal it will be left on Fridays to die quietly.
Happy Endings is so underrated.
@Zach, thank you! You’re totally right.
What’s the logic here? They have the same demo but HOD has more viewers hence 90210 should get the renewal? Besides, I think HOD has a better demo on average.
Parenthood – adjusted up – great!
good for parenthood, fight back against those show killers. i hate when critics call parenthood a lesser version of modern family, because one is a family comedy that will never have dramatic elements, and the other is a family drama with comedic elements. i just want this show to last long enough to see max finish high school, or even start his first year of college.
I don’t know what it is but I love NN. I wish it were getting better ratings but with its gay theme I’m pretty sure it never will.
HE is a great show. Shocked at Apt 23′s numbers. Haven’t watched it since I fell in love with New N. Has it gotten that bad?
^^ No, its been incredible this season. I guess the new slot killed, it only had 7 episodes last year so it was hardly an established to get shoved to Tuesday
LOL@ people comparing HoD rating decrease to Emily Owens’ rating decrease. Unlike EO, HoD has had decent ratings for a while until very recently. Whereas EO was flopping right from the beginning.
FOX needs to cancel Ben And Kate & The Mindy Project, move Glee to Tuesday after New Girl & Raising Hope, put Bones back on Thursday, and put Touch on Mondays with The Following. I don’t know what should do on Friday.
Your nonsense definitely has to stop. NBC is the only network that’s significantly up compared to last year. Go On gets around 2.0-2.5 demo which is more than half of an ORIGINAL NCIS which gets 3.0-3.5! Demo is the only one that matters. Old people watch everything, they’re not taken into consideration.
This must be the season for Fan Excuse Bingo. Moving a low rated show like B&B to serve as a lead in for equally low rated HOD changes nothing. B&B has recently been the lowest performer on the entire Thursday network schedule. The reason is obvious: it’s a lousy show. So, moving it is not going to make million of viewers have an epiphany.
I hope they keep HoD. It is one of the only shows on TV that is light-hearted and fun and quirky without being out and out comedy.
I know I’m biased, but I’d have thought that it has a good chance of being retained if it keeps up the numbers – as others have said, it’s against some big shows and not had a whole lot of help from a lead in like TVD, or indeed, a lot of marketing this year. It’s relatively cheap to make, and also had one of the stand out new faces of 2012, which keeps people talking about the show and the network and can’t hurt advertising.
I honestly think there are quite enough vampire / SN / fairytale type shows on the CW and TV generally. The whole genre is getting pretty tired. And the prospect of SITC revisited (The Carrie Diaries) or Cult (whose premise sounds pretty poor) are pretty underwhelming.
Frankly, I’m at the stage that I’d pretty much keep any show which breaks away from the formulaic crime drama / formulaic reality show / revamp of a former show / something requiring me to believe in fairies / vampires / werewolves.
